LilyJane
I've been trying to find a way to label my glass candle jars using a permanent decal, or a similar alternative to label stickers, and I just came across this brand that's a perfect example: https://bijoucandles.com/collections/shop-all-1/products/sabrina-patchouli-bergamot-classic-candle. Does anyone know what type of decal this is, or where/how to print them? When I search, the closest thing I see are the water slide decals. Maybe that's what they use? Any tips are appreciated! bfroberts
They are most likely having those containers custom printed, not a label or decal.
LilyJane
@bfrobertsThat's what I would have assumed, too, if it weren't for the fact that their candles come in all sorts of different containers, and they're a relatively small brand! If that's the case, I wonder where they're getting them.
TallTayl
quite a few are nicely printed stickers. The mid size glass appears to be pad printed. some printers will do short runs, for a fee. That reminds me... @strugglebrother shared info about a small pad printing machine with me once. It was not cheap, but perhaps that is it? A few grand for a personal pad printer doesn't seem like that much any more
BusyBee
Jafe Decorating Inc. does painting jars & screen printing like those. Their minimum order requirement is 504 pieces, and they have really good pricing. They do waterslide decals too.
LilyJane
@Busy BeeThanks! That's actually where I get my custom-painted candle jars, and I print my own labels for now. I can't imagine ordering over 500 for just one scent...Could this brand really be making that many?
BusyBee
It seems like it. She has been doing this for about 7 years, and she also owns Q Squared NYC. https://shopqhome.com/ She does have money to invest. *It looks like her candle containers are from China. LilyJane
@Busy BeeWow, great info to have. Thank you!
StanfordP
@LilyJane You can also try Norman's Printery in New Jersey. I believe their minimum is 100 vessels, but that's more expensive. They do packaging for a lot of candle makers in the area.
