What do you think about wooden wicks for soy wax candles?

It all depends on the exact wick in the exact packet. Many of us have had wicks from the same pack that light perfectly and the next won’t stay lit at all.
 

Natural products like that will always have variations from tree to tree and parts of the same tree just based on how the tree grew in a particular year. 

 

Then factor in manufacturing. atkins and Pearce manufacture for wooden wick. When they took over a lot of little things changed.

I am only able to get the best HT out of soy wax candles using wooden wicks.  That is if the wooden wick stays lit.  There are so many of them that would not lit up or stay lit.  

 

Testing wooden wicks in soy wax candle is a must.  It will show you how good HT of soy wax can be.  But my advise would be not to use that in your product line unless they can come up with good reliable wooden wicks.

I agree....wood wicks are way too inconsistent for me to feel comfortable selling them. I have no problem getting great HT in soy with traditional wicks. I use CD primarily, sometimes Eco.
