I have Fragrance oils from 15 years ago, that Im not going to use they didnt smell good then and definitely dont now.. Although I have come across full bottles of Berts, MW, KY, BW FO's that still smell great.. So could I just use them up, while finding dupes of them?? If they’re over five years old there’s a good chance they contain phthalates. I don’t mind them as they help a candle really throw well. Shari Posted September 2, 2020 Share Posted September 2, 2020 I agree with the above. I have FO's that are 7-8 years old and still smell and work great. As long as they smell good you should be fine. If you decide to dispose of the ones you don't like, just make sure you take them to the proper facility for that, as they're chemicals. If you have an "old" FO that you are not sure about, blend it with another FO that you like and sounds like it would be complimentary. dncullen Posted October 7, 2020 Share Posted October 7, 2020 I came across a box that I had packed away form about 10 years ago. Some fragrance oils ate right through the bottle and leaked. Not all.
