lisamrtr
Does anyone weigh their fragrance oils in ml? I’ve been doing the calculations for FO in my soy wax at 8.5% and then convert the oz to ml so I could compare to my suppliers recommended amount which is in ml. I suppose if I’m weighing it on a scale and using weight, not volume, then it doesn’t matter if I’m using oZ or ml?
TallTayl
I keep it simple on my poor brain and just use grams. The specific gravity varies a little between fragrances, so volume v weight can be off slightly.
Shari
I too always way in grams. Anything else is less accurate and I like to be as accurate as I can.
lisamrtr
I see. Given that 1g = 1ml , I can assume that I’ve been weighing out the fragrance oil correctly ? I’m waiting the 2 weeks of curing before lighting my last batch to make sure they’re all good and with too much time to research now I’m looking into everything I’ve been doing so much more to make sure everything is correct lol
Shari
Fragrance oils will vary. As stated above they have different specific gravity so 1 ml and 1 gm will vary from fragrance to fragrance. That's why I weight in grams only for consistency purposes.
