ALena
Hello everyone! I have making candles with soy flakes but i put 20% of stearin for making candle stronger. without it my candle has broken. Now I have a problem, the surface of the candle after the silicone mold is uneven. Wax layer remains in shape. How can this be solved? wax - ecosoya Edited June 30, 2020 by ALena
TallTayl
Is it a new case of wax or stearin? have the temperature or humidity in your work area changed recently?

Yes, it is a new case of wax with 20% of stearin I think no, all conditions the same Edited June 30, 2020 by ALena
TallTayl
If it is a new case of wax, and this has not happened in the past it could be more moisture in the wax flakes from processing or ambient humidity. Barometric changes also play with soy wax. some people have luck heating the wax to the manufacturers recommended temp, cooling completely in the melter, and then reheating the next day to remove some of the excess moisture from the wax itself.
