Paintguru
So my wife REALLY loves the smell of flowering crab trees and of course told me to go find a fragrance oil that matched it. I have yet to find one through my Google searches. I've tried a few other "flowering tree" FOs, but none have been close. Has anyone run across something that matches the scent of flowering crab trees?
Candybee
Is the tree you are talking about a flowering crabapple tree? I looked up crab tree and got crabapple trees. If so, there are several suppliers that sell flowering apple fragrances. Peaks used to carry a best selling apple blossom scent that was TDF. Try looking up apple blossom and you will start finding them. I would not worry too much about whether or not it smells like crabapple tree blossoms as apple trees tend to all have similar blossoms with the same delicate pinkish white blossoms with notes of apple.
Paintguru
Yes, a crabapple tree. I will go try a few apple blossom scents and see if those make her happy.
Candybee
You can also try starting a new thread asking for 'apple blossom' scents. Its a fairly common scent and I am sure you will get more responses. I found an apple blossom at FB. Their's is a dupe of Peaks: http://www.fragrancebuddy.com/APPLE-BLOSSOM-by-Peak-Type-Fragrance.aspx
