Ria
Hi all I currently make and sell wax melts but looking at other things to add to my page to sell. We are currently investing in bath bomb supplies to make and but we are also looking at the shake and vac bags does anyone else make and sell these? if so what sort of fragrance ratio is required. Do they need a cook label etc. Thank you Ria
Shari
What are shake and vac bags? Never heard of them.
kandlekrazy
If you are talking about carpet freshener, yes I make it but only with essential oil and baking soda. I use stainless powdered sugar shakers to hold it.
TallTayl
One lesson I learned about carpet refresher is that powders kill my vacuums. Switched to salts and the problem was greatly reduced. The % depends on your FO. CHeck the IFRA certificate to see the limits and then test within that range. Marie Gale has published many books and articles about labeling requirements for various products. She is where I usually start researching for my location, as a lot depends on where you live/operate.

Give it a couple of days to absorb. If it is still wet add a bit more salt.

Measurements are based on weights of each. 100 grams of product would be made of 99 grams of salt and 1 gram of fragrance.

kandlekrazy
I have an Oreck 21 vacuum with a bag (not bagless with filters) so mine doesn't clog up at all from the baking soda.
