Plastic Wick Clips (that don’t ravage your wick)

Recommended Posts

I bought some chip clip things that keep my wick in place but they are murder on my wicks—creating crimps that are not easily straightened. I also suspect they affect the cooling below where they rest...so I’m looking for new ones.

I saw the ones below on the Bitter Creek site and I want them but they are a teeny bit too small.
I like that they are straight and thin.

Anyone know where I may be able to find these? (Preferably just a little bit longer)

May I ask what wick you are using?  I don't recall anything like yours.

Thank you for posting that picture!  That picture lead me to discovery of new wick.

That wick in the picture turns out to be wick made by "EricX Light" of China.  Even though I am not big fan of putting Chinese ingredients in my candle, I think I might try one of their wick.  They have a hemp wick, which got me interest to try in my soy candle.

I am a fan of wooden clothespins for all jars they reach across.  Makes tins a breeze to wick.

the bow tie versions work for slightly wider jars. A clothespin holds the wick more taut than relying on the keyhole.

have wanted to try cotter pins, but wonder if they are too snug?

for my wide bowls, paint Stir sticks and clothespins do a great job.
