Karen Ov 30 Report post Posted November 16 I was looking at dough ornament recipes and i would like to scent them with fragrance oils, but a lot of recipes calls for essential oils. Can i make them with fo's instead? ..And i know you can bake or air dry them, if i did bake them would the oven forever smell like fo?

I don’t know about making them with FO but I do make aroma bead fresheners with FO and bake them in my oven and never smell anything.

NightLight 254 Report post Posted November 16 Dough ornaments. I have baked and honestly had many puff up and get ruined. If you do use an oven heat it up, turn off oven the put in ornaments overnight. My favorite ones are made with cinnamon and elmers glue, and or apple sauce! The scent lasts for ever and easy to make.
CandleRush 221 Report post Posted November 16 There are clays that air dry and you’d have to test to see if the fo holds up.

Can you share your recipe for these? I say every year I'm going to make them and buy the stuff but never get around to doing it.
NightLight 254 Report post Posted November 23 Hi Belinda Just do a google for the cinnamon recipe, some are made with apple sauce, some are made with elmers. Made both awhile ago and they still smell good.
NightLight 254 Report post Posted November 23 Go to dollar store and get the big containers of cinnamon, Badia is one brand. or possible Costco, Sams club as they will stock larger sizes for baking.
