2 New Southwest shops/galleries

I'm getting a presentation ready for 2 new just gorgeous Southwest stores/galleries.   The same owner owns both of them.   I walked in the stores the other day and oh my!   Just gorgeous stores with no candles......yet (lol)  Hopefully I'll get into both of them as she loved what I told her I did as far as making candles.   I went on Facebook and brought up her logos which I have incorporated into the labels....Now I need everyones input once again as I need to get sample pages of these labels and they are having a 50% sale till tomorrow night..so here goes.

 

The one store called "Painted Pony" I did 2 different color ways....1 in an all black label and the other in red.

1.   Which label do you like better?   The black or the red.

2.   Now which font do you like best?

 

The other store called "Red Hands" I did in just the one colorway of black as I didn't like in the red.

Any suggestions I should think about on this label that I might need to change?

 

Then I need to concentrate on picking out 2 or 3 jars and I'm really going bonkers on this.

What I am going to do is attach a tassel around the neck of the jar with real beadwork hanging off the jar.  I put up a couple pictures of what the tassel will look like but a much smaller version.

What about either a black or red lid to tie in with the labels? I think I saw those lids in various colors at Fillmore.

Love the tassel idea and considered doing the same but with crystals. 

I like the black labels best or consider one store with red, the other with black?🌸

Oh yes, I am doing the black lid.   I ordered some red to see if would like them better also.

Hiya just read your post about how long you leave candles Inbetweeb test burns... I use the same wax as you so would love to know what wicks you use. Ive been using eco wicks but getting very varied results which is really frustrating

@Trappeur, I love the black labels, the very first one is my favorite. The font is simple so the focus is on that fabulous pony.

The tassels are beautiful!! With black lids, that will be a gorgeous presentation!

That Painted Pony logo looks very attractive on the black background.   1st label is very good.  Other logo looks good on black too.  I'm curious about how you will attach the tassel too.  As I have a small pottery Mississippi shaped ornament on my products, attached with twine.  (recently saw that isn't the best for candles, so I might have to do something else when I get the candles done)  Thanks!  You answered it while I was posting.

 

Can't imagine a single reason you won't get this sale.   A lot of effort on your part,  looks great as all of your designs that I have seen on this board do.

I also really like the label you posted for the 2nd store. The script font works with that design, but I don't care for the script font in the Painted Pony labels.

Ok, take a look at these 3 labels now.....

Everyone including me likes the black label which I am going to go with.

So far with everyone liking #1 label which I showed in the white font, I have definitely decided to change the white to turquoise which matches the pony.   There was something that wasn't hitting me right with the white font.  It was really standing too out loud so the turquoise which I'm keeping toned it down a bit and looks great I think

I was really hoping that I could go with a script type font as I always like to be different, but no one has selected that type font and the other font really is quite readable so I guess that is the way to go.

I made up another label with a really different type font that is like westerny (see #2 label below).   I love this font, is very different, a little more hard to read but I can but I don't think anyone is going to like it so tell me what you think????

I love #1 as well with the turquoise colored writing.   Black background is the way to go.  As always they are awesome!

I like the first the best but I do like the third. I originally had a close to cursive font, but found so many people struggled reading it that I went to something straighter like your first one. 

 

If you’re going to do cursive or anything “artistic” I would recommend doing it in bold and as big as you can. 

 

Shoot, some people have a hard time reading my banner that has cursive writing. And it’s really big!

Thats exactly what I did Sebleo.  On the cursive on I overlayed the scent name with a second line of it.   I'll try it again.

Now why don't you care for the 2'nd one?   Just would like to get your input...That is a western/southwest design.   It's different but probably people won't be able to read it that well, right?

Yes, I think it would be hard for some to read. And I like it but not with that design. While it has a western/southwest look, it is also kind of artsy. 

 

I can see that font going on a brown kraft label perfectly. With some cowboys with pistols in hand! Something like this...

Number one gets my vote. I can read cursive fine (thanks gramma!) but to my eye it isn’t the *right* cursive for this label. The second one, I like it but it’s just a touch too bitchy to read easily. I like the first one best.
