Sebleo
I’m still in the testing phase of my candle line, but thinking ahead. Where am I going to store them? I have a closet dedicated to wax melts and oils. I really don’t have any more space in my house for candle storage. My two options are the garage and a storage shed. The garage would be preferable due to proximity to workspace, but it is not climate controlled. Is that necessary? If I need climate controlled, I would have to use a window ac/heater for the storage shed. It is already equipped for that. Not really what I want to do because of the electric costs and the fact I would have to dolly everything back and forth from the house. What are your thought? Where do you store your finished product?
Shari
You will likely need something temperature controlled. Especially in Texas. Heck here in the summer I can melt 50 lbs of palm oil in no time. 1
Candybee
I had to buy shelving units to store my candle and soap making stuff. But shelves can hold a lot of stuff and good shelves can hold a lot of heavy stuff while keeping it organized, easily accessible, and out of my way. Sebleo
Was hoping I could get away with the garage. I bough shelving for my pantry that allows me to fit quite a bit in there, but I have no other space to add more.
The Candle Nook
Climate controlled. I store candles in boxes jars come in with fragrance written on outside and they are just stacked against a wall in extra bedroom (used to be a kids room and that kid just had to deal with mom’s stuff)
NightLight
Must be climate controlled for sure. Of ten you think you have zero space but look around to reconfigure or get rid of stuff. you could even put a bed on risers then store candles underneath in plastic bins. Crafty1_AJ
Another vote for climate controlled. I store mine on shelves in a windowless basement room. Dark is a plus.
Forrest
I plan on storing mine under the bed
Trappeur
I have mine in a primitive 8' cabinet in 1 corner of my dining room. It's all organized by fragrance. I would go bonkers if it wasn't organized. Trappeur
CaptnKush
Climate control would be the optimal for me, but since I don't really have that option I find these bun racks work the best. Really nice for keeping different scented candles separated and it also has the dust cover and wheels.

Except I also need a workroom to put it in. 🤣
Trappeur
That is great. Looks like you have a great work area for candles....I wish I had something like that with all the candles I make... Trappeur

I just snagged that pic off the net because it was easier than taking a pic and loading it on computer:D But I do have a similar bun rack to that one. Sebleo
Thank you everyone for your input. I feared, rather knew, that climate controlled was the way to go. I’m sure I will figure it out as I’ve done everything else: along the way!
