Next Craft Fair Coming!

Okay so we all know I wasn't thrilled with my setup the last time. This time I think I nailed it though. I'm so so so happy but still seeking any input or suggestions to make it better.

All of the tins will have labels on them by the time we get there and I may add more but I think the surplus will stay behind/under the table. I don't want to overdo that. I also have my big board sign for behind it all and I have purple balloons I'm going to tie a few to each end of the table for some added flair.

I don't have my own table (yet) so I had to measure out the sheet on my floor and set things up. Forgive that aspect of the photos. What do you all think?

Looks great!  Yes as Laura said it will be ever evolving.  You will see other ideas or just come up with your own ideas after a few shows especially if you're doing outdoor shows and have to deal with wind, sun & rain.  I know I constantly changed things up for the first 5 years and then got tired and only changed once in a while.

Yes I'm sure it will evolve but for now I'm 1000% more happy with this than my first one. Deciding to use tins for my melts instead of bags was the best decision I've ever made! The tiny ones in the front tray are going to be all the sniffers so hopefully that will deter people a tiny bit from opening random tins.

Seems like a good idea to have the "sniffers", LOL.

I'm curious, what was your reason for ditching the cute bags and why did you choose tins? Plus you can always make candles in tins too.

Yeah I have zero desire to start my learning curve all over with candles!!

I decided against the bags when I was trying to figure out how to display them for my upcoming fairs. I'll still bag them for online orders to reduce costs for customers and myself. Especially since most of my stock for the fairs are small that can easily go into the tins for value. The fancy hearts and bears and such wouldn't go in there very nicely so they'll just be online I fear. I may display a few of the bears on the table by themselves and have some in the back just in case but I didn't sell any of them the last time.

LOL, I certainly know what you mean about making candles, I've been dealing with that headache. I'm currently taking a break from candles and playing around with melts. Ok, that makes sense about the tins, would be easier to display, stack, etc. especially if you're limited with booth space. Once you get out there doing stuff, like you're doing, you realize what works and what doesn't. I'm surprised you didn't sell any of the bears at your last fair.

To be fair I think most just thought they were decorative. I may have to make sure I display them in a way that shows they are wax.

I'm just trying to not add tooooo much to my table but I really want to display things that don't really work in a tin as well. If these had been another 1/2 inch taller my bears would have worked. Maybe I'll look for something just slightly larger and I can put all 3 in!

I love the colors! For sure I would do sniffies (like someone upthread mentioned.), the height in the back looks good, I like you have 3 "sections", I wouldn't do the balloons, a ton of people are very allergic to them and I for instance wouldn't do near a booth, indoor or out, with latex balloons.

Okay so I have everything done I think. I don't want to do too much more, if any. I'm under that 2 week window of cure time and some that I wanted to do I had to skip because I didn't have time to test the FO with my wax. Here's what I came up with, what do you guys think? Enough variety??

Berries & Cream
Black Strap Molasses
Caribbean Coconut = Caribbean Vacation
Ho Ho Ho = Chocolate Dreams
Clean Cotton
Coffee Cake
Cotton Candy
Creme Brulee
Cream Cheese Frosting
Dragonfruit Poptail
Grape Soda
Hansel & Gretel's House
Lava Flow Poptail
Lavender Vanilla
Leather
Love Spell
Sex Bomb Lush Type = Lush Bomb
Maple Pancakes
Sugar Cookie
Vanilla Buttercream = Ultimate Vanilla
Winterberry Wonder & Berrylicious Yankee Type = (Wonderberry)
Witches Brew

So I was just informed by the event coordinator that our tables will be 8ft instead of 6ft. Should I rethink my table set up or will that difference not matter much? I haven't used an 8ft table yet. 🙈

Theres not a lot of difference between the two sizes. You’ll basically be adding a foot to each side of your mock up.

You could use that extra space to just space things out, add a price list sign, put out business cards, or add a few more items.

Okay that sounds about right. I have a price list ready and another sign saying to ask me about custom orders so that should fill the space without leaving too much blank areas. I don't want to make it crowded but I don't want it too bare looking either! :)

Add signage. I get little stand up sings from Micheals. I use these. https://www.michaels.com/rectangle-chalkboard-easel-signs-by-artminds/10557350.html#q=chalk+board+sings&start=7

OH NO I just realized my table cover is FITTED for a 6ft cover. What do I DO!????? HELP I'm in a panic. I don't have time now to get anything else! Is there any chance I can make it work?

You should be able to buy any table cloth you want at Walmart; Bed, Bath and Beyond, Big Lots, etc. for an 8ft table but it probably won't be fitted. That shouldn't be a big deal.
