asheebeans
Hi all! I was wondering if anyone here has had to replace the black bands on your Upland molds and what you used? Both my 4lb log as well as my 12 bar slab mold are in desperate need of new bands. Any tips/hints would be much appreciated! (I tried doing a search first but didn’t turn up any information) Thanks in advance! Edited December 10, 2018 by asheebeans
Sarah S
Oh my gosh, I have no idea what an Upland mold is, but 40lbs sounds like serious business! 😮😮
Barbara AL
Will something like this work?

Are they velcro straps or are they rubber bands? If velcro you could maybe use these? https://www.velcro.com/products/ties-and-straps/900600__all-purpose-strap/?sku

But I cobble together smaller bungee cords, and they do the trick just fine.

When I need to make various sized bands like that I use bungee cordage https://smile.amazon.com/Pepperell-Bunjee-Cord-15-Feet-Black/dp/B00IXWIPMW?ref_=bl_dp_s_web_3038236011 I cut it to the exact size I need it to be. I DO NOT buy it from Amazon I get mine locally at Hobby Lobby and it's like $2.98 for 15 feet of 3/16" cord. ( I make combat boot speed laces out of it) :)
TallTayl
How about ratchet straps? They come in loads of sizes and are practically indestructible. We have rubber slotted adjustable bungee cords at the farm store. Durable as all get out with various lengths.
