Amelia Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 I'm so at wit's end right now. I currently use a silicone chocolate mold to make my wax melts. They pop out easily and the fronts come out shiny. Everything was going fine up until about a week ago. Whenever I try to use my molds to make melts now, the top layer (the front of the melt) is peeling off into the mold. The whole top layer is staying in the mold. I've tried cleaning them with just water, then water with dial soap, alcohol. It's getting so frustrating to the point where I wanna just switch to clams and the thought of that makes me upset. Anyone have ANY advice? Quote
Jcandleattic Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 How old is the mold? That will start to happen to mine if the silicone starts to deteriorate. You may need to look into getting new molds. Quote
Scented Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Once you get a mold clean, try using a mold release in it to see if that helps at all. I had to buy more molds though just because of over use an they wouldn't clean. Quote
