BenH Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 My daughter and I are new to candle making and to this forum, which we have learned a lot. My question is, we are having a time wicking our jars. We are using 4630 wax and the Libbey 917 hb rock tumblers and suppliers recommended Lx 18 - 22. None of the wicks will get a full melt pool all across the jar with 3 to 4 hr burn and they will not even after a 2nd or 3rd, continually tunneling. The 22 has a tall flame but flickers a-lot with a little smoking and 20 looks good but never burns across. Any suggestions for wax, wicks, or jars appreciated. F.O at 8% Thanks Quote
TallTayl Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 From the main screen of the forum, type 4630 wick in the search box. Loads of results with great options 🤗 Quote
Pam W Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I use 4630 for container candles and use Eco wicks......depending on the size of the jar, it's usually Eco 4 or Eco 6. Quote
