Thanks.Going to look it over more but it did answer a question that a few of us were talking about when I was waiting for my husband when he took a stress test. They kept talking about baby boomers. No one could figure out when it was and what year. The lady next to me(younger) said she had just heard but forgot.I said Well I was born in 1947 and they said Yes that is about the year or somewhere around then. Now I know.It was 1946.The baby boomer turned 60 on January 2006.

I said I was a War Baby and they agreed it was around the time when all the men came back from the WAR and babies were born.

I don't feel it.I bet all the people in the waiting room were figuring it out.How old I was?Maybe I shouldn't have told my age????Oh well. OOPPPSSS now the Board knows.

Lynn, 1947 was a very good year. For you youngsters, WWII veterans who became expectant fathers within 12 months of their discharge had all expenses paid for prenatal care, delivery and baby check ups for their 1st year. My Mom said I got every shot and checkup because of this program.

Good article.

Gee my mom did not tell me this. Then it was a good year.

I really do feel blessed.I never did care to tell my age.Just that most here are much much younger.
