mao Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Does anyone know how to make a pink sugar scent using essential oils? I really only want to use essential oils but I am struggling with how to get a sugary smell. Quote
Moonstar Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Im not aware of any EO's that would come remotely close to a sugary smell or Pink Sugar. Quote
mao Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 Ok thank you. I figured as much but thought maybe someone may have come across something. Thank you! Quote
birdcharm Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 The only thing I can think of, although not "sugary," would be to make a vanilla bean infused oil that could be used in some bath products perhaps -- I'm not sure what it could all be used in or how it would smell, as I've never done it. I was reading about it recently, but the price of vanilla beans has skyrocketed!! Quote
TallTayl Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Pink sugar has a blend of sugary sweet, vanilla and musks. If you start with deep vanillas, as mentioned above, and tried soft musks you could get something in the right neighborhood. The other aromachemicals in the blend will be harder to hit as they are not typically found in pure essential oils. Quote
Candybee Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Pink sugar is a cotton candy scent and I don't think you are going to get anything closer than using a vanilla for 'sweet'. But vanilla itself smells nothing like pink sugar. You might get a really nice combo using vanilla extract with a pink grapefruit but it won't be pink sugar. Quote
