GailC Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 (edited) I bought a 2 oz sample of Arctic Air and made soy candles with it. I have been burning one in a bathroom, and I really like it. It's unlike any other fragrance I have. Hard to describe; a complex, slightly minty scent. I'm thinking about buying a 16 oz bottle. Arctic Air sounds like a winter fragrance, but I think it's a clean, fresh fragrance you could burn all year round. I'm terrible with names though. Here is the fragrance description: Brilliant fragrance notes of eucalyptus, spearmint, wild rose and dew fresh ferns leading to snow pines, blue jasmine magnolia and white lilies finishing with a base of white musk, balsam and sandalwood. Any name suggestions? Please and thank you. Edited August 29, 2017 by GailC Quote
Scented Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Without dating it or limiting it, a dusk or something pre-dawn comes to mind if it's fresh and clean. 1 Quote

GailC Posted August 30, 2017 Author Posted August 30, 2017 Oh I know @Scented! Every time I pour High Cotton candles I start humming that Alabama song, "we were living in high cotton..." ♫♪. Every time I pour Sweet Potato Pie, I think of another Alabama song...song of the south, sweet potato pie and shut my mouth ♫♪ I could rename it Clear Blue Morning so every time I poured candles I could start singing Dolly Parton's song "I can see the light of a clear blue morning."♫♪ A whole line of country music candles. 1 1 Quote

I just don't think "Dude" when I sniff it though. Although if I talked that way, when I smelled it I would say, "Dude! That candle smells good!." 1 Quote
moonshine Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 (edited) Lol no most people are surprised when they smell it with the name dude but after I explain naming it after our horse they get it and it kinda does smell like a alpine men's aftershave ? You could name it below zero if you live somewhere cold in the winter and change it to first frost in the Fall and spring summer name it something like water mint or I like the morning dew name it does smell kinda like the water mint we have growing like crazy in our pond Edited August 30, 2017 by moonshine 1 Quote
GailC Posted August 30, 2017 Author Posted August 30, 2017 Ooh....I like First Frost. That would be good for now. Hopefully no real frost for a couple of months at least. Millcreek has an FO named Morning Dew. I didn't know that when I thought of the name. I never heard of water mint. So it grows at the edge of the pond or what? Quote
moonshine Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Right in the water I bought a few small plants about 10 years ago and now my whole pond is taken over by it - it's like a ground cover the way it spreads only it lives in water in shallower parts - our pond is a 3 tier 20 X 40 with a wetland and river with a waterfall - hand made with a liner this is not my pond but this is what it looks like - very strong smell especially when handled Quote
Candybee Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 (edited) How about Alpine Spa or Alpine Air or Alpine Frost? Edited August 30, 2017 by Candybee 1 Quote
GailC Posted August 30, 2017 Author Posted August 30, 2017 @moonshine thanks for the pictures! I learned something new today. Quote

I was thinking of something 'spa'...but I also like Alpine Air. I wasn't going to use words pertaining to Mountains, because I live in flat central Indiana, and wanted something relatable to here, but I have Seaside and Ocean Mist and Indiana doesn't have any oceans either.
