Ive never ordered anything from them and @pcbrook got me curious on their room spray base . While I'm at it I thought I might order some oils as well. Anyone ordered

from there. I hate that theres no descriptions at all, I don't understand that. I was looking at Lemon Cupcake - Blackberry Jam - Oatmeal Cookie. Anyone have any

favorites from them ? They also have a big selection of oils on Special that are 9.99 LB. Im not sure if that means they're not good movers or that they just got a great

deal on those oils ? Pcbrook have you been happy with their base, do you recall what the FO load is, it doesn't tell me anything on the description :(

I don't order many FO's from them because of no description.  I have driven there a few times to pick up wax and jars. They have a lot of sample to sniff, but you can't buy 16 oz bottles there once you find one you want.  Have to go home and order it online.   I wrote down a few I liked and later ordered Bamboo Rainforest.  Love that one.

The others I have liked are Pink Sands, and Snow Cream. Also Freesia is nice and I usually don't like floral scents.  I like the sample Hot Orange Danish OOB, but I got it cheaper at NG.  TCS actually smells better to me though.

The free ones I have gotten with $100 orders have been OK.  Birthday Cake, Iced Cookie and Cinnamon Sugar.  I mostly use them as mixes.  Haven't used the sweet Melon yet, probably need to mix that one with something too.

I have tried some $9.99 specials. Some I ordered and those are available for sale at the "store". I definitely did NOT like Mom's Baby Powder, (although my cousin has ordered those candles twice!), or Wintermint (don't think that one's on sale anymore).  Didn't care for Apple Berry either. The Citrus is nothing special OOB. Granny's Pumpkin Pie is OK (I mix it too).  I bought the Maple Butter Cheesecake last time I was there, smells nice OOB, but haven't used it yet.

The surprise for me was Botanical Breeze.  Bought it and let it sit on the shelf for years.  Finally made candles and it was really nice in wax.  So some of the others I haven't used might 'bloom' in wax as well.  (But that one isn't on the special list anymore of course)

I see some other specials there I'd like to try when I order more jars, but since the others I've tried haven't knock my socks off, except for the Botanical Breeze, I am reluctant to try them...but then again, they are only $9.99 each. :)

I like to have a description to post on my Facebook page when I 'unveil' a new fragrance, so I just won't order more from them, even though I could pick up my order when I have time to drive to Ohio.

Thank you Gail, that was helpful. Cant understand for the life of me why they would add descriptions . So dumb. How would you describe the Snow Cream ?

Is this a winter/holiday oil ?

It's been a few years since I had it, but it was a minty, vanilla fragrance if I recall.  I know it was mint and I thought it smelled just lovely.  But I never did order any more for some reason.  Maybe because I started ordering from so many other suppliers and got Candy Cane from NG,

Ah, look at the picture they have with Snow Cream.  Peppermint sticks in a white liquid.  So my memory served me right.  Now I'm wanting some more, because I think the snow cream smelled even better than the Candy Cane.  I like the name too.

After my first post, it got me to thinking I should take another trip to The Candlemaker's Store soon.  I would like to smell the specials, like the Country Clothesline and Cotton Linen, and especially Pumpkin spice Latte.  I know it probably doesn't smell as good as the Spiced Pumpkin Latte fragrance sample I got from RE.

They didn't have any of those the last time I went.

If I recall correctly someone on here said Victorian Christmas was nice + also Blackberry Amber.

I will.  I'm not sure just when I'll go, but sometime this fall.  They have lots of one ounce sample bottles to sniff.  Plus they told me if I wanted to smell something when I got there to let them know ahead of time.  I just now remembered that.  Because they have so many FO's they don't have one ouncers of all of them on display.

I don't know if you ever order from Fragrance Buddy, but their Lemon Pound Cake is wonderful!  Customers love it and so do I.  I like to catch their sales, and am hoping they have another one around Labor Day.

I like Victorian Christmas from Aztec. It is popular for me at Christmas.

There is someone on this forum who orders a lot more from The Candlemaker's Store than I do.  Maybe she will chime in.

I have and love lemon poundcake from CS but was looking for something sweeter like cake instead of tart like the LPC.

I might just mix RE Lemon Curd and the BD Cake for a lemon cupcake.

There ya go.  Bet that would smell like a lemon cupcake.

Even mixing the lemon pound cake you have with a little vanilla would probably make it sweeter.

Moonstar,

I ordered the base from RE instead because I already get some oils from them.  I really like it although I have nothing to compare it to because this room spray stuff is a first for me. But I would recommend it.

Sorry for the confusion. :)
