I was doing a search on a fragrance, and reading a thread about OOB reviews on RE samples.  Ran across this post from 2016 from Moonstar:

 

"I put a bit of the Rustic Lodge in my warmer just so I get a better idea - OH SO GOOD ! I get a hit of apple - nuts and slightly sweet too ! Nice"

 

I am on the fence about ordering larger bottles of some of the samples I recently got, so I put a few soy wax flakes in my warmer and a little of Welcome Home FO. It may not smell exactly the same as a cured candle but I keep going back to the warmer and sniffing to help me decide.  (Just made some candles plus I have a tester burning, so have to get close to smell that one.)

 

@Moonstar I am going to 'test' several fragrances this way, instead of just sniffing the bottle, so thanks so much for the great idea!

 

By the way, I decided that I don't need the Welcome Home. It's kind of too sweet for me, and close to some other FO's I have.  Plus I have 4 or 5 others that I like better and want to order.
