jenniejr Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I was given some fruit fiber & micas recently. I have never used these before and there are no directions for use. Can someone please give me a few tips on how to use them? tia btw: I will be doing CP, CPHP & M&P. (not sure if they can be used in all of these, and if so are they used differently for each process?) Thanks! Quote
Purple Lilac Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I have tried fruit fibers before ( no directions either - even wrote the company where I bought them and they never got back with me with instructions) tired every way I could think of to incorporate them into the soap (CP) and each use they turned brown - I tired the blueberry, raspberry and cranberry. If you have success, please let me know. As for the Mica's I asked the same questions a few weeks ago, Rebecca from IA was a big help I can't find the post at the moment you may want to do a search for it til I can find it. Quote
RobinInOR Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Fruit fibers don't really hold their color in CP, they'll just be brown speckles. Quote

jwahlton Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I think most people use the fibers in scrubs. You can use mica in just about anything. But some mica morphs in CP. Celini Blue turns pink I think. I use mica in a lot of things. It's great in clear M&P. Shows up beautifully Quote
jenniejr Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 Thanks for the help and the "heads up" Nanette, Robin & Julia! Quote
