Nella
Hello everyone! I have a 16 oz bottle of true lavender fragrance oil. Very realistic herbal scent. Looking for some blending ideas, not really a big fan of the scent on its own. I would like to make a sugary sweet lavender blend, but I would like to hear some of your ideas also. I did make some melts with the lavender and warm vanilla sugar that turned out really well. Thank you for any suggestions:)
Moonstar
Ive made a lavender shortbread before based off of an Anthropologie candle . Used para soy for melts . I used more shortbread than lavender.
kandlekrazy
I love it with Lemongrass, it just takes away some of the sweetness. A big seller is mixed with leather. The possibilities with Lavender are almost endless, it really mixes well with ALMOST everything. I have had a couple of those "what was I thinking" blends. I don't like bakery so never have tried those.
Nella
Great ideas! I would have never thought of leather! I have many bakery scents, will have to see if i have shortbread. I also have many different lemon scents as well. What do you think of mixing lavender with peppermint or buttermint? Im trying to use up some of the hundreds of bottles of fragrance oils I have that I am just not a huge fan of, hoping a combination of some will be more appealing. Thank you guys for your help:)
Moonstar
Id go easy on the peppermint - its a pretty strong scent. Start with much less - let it sit for a day or so + go back, smell + adjust from there.

Lavender is hard, or for me anyhow, to find a good one in a FO. So far, CS has been the best so far, but Im not crazy about it either Great suggestions !
MaggieMay
I usually use two lavender to 1 Amber. I love day stars Amber essence Nepal, it does discolor dark. I just do an amber swirl into the lavender color. I also use lavender essential oil.
