jwahlton Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I'm looking into various jars and the prices sure range don't they? I'd have to have them shipped to Florida so I know that adds to the cost. I like the Metro/Status jars, the apocathary with metal lids or the square mason with the pewter lids. So is less than $2 per 8 ounce jar good (including shipping) Quote
BACKWOODS Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 My advice is to try to find a supplier close to you and see if you can pick them up....try to save every penny! Shipping is a killer....I drive 1 1/2 hours one way to pick up a 6 months supply of glassware and wax. Costs me 30 bucks in gas vs a few hundred in freight. Quote
Trish Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I get my jars from Fairway and order at least 500 jars. Including shipping, I pay:10oz apoth $1.1416oz apoth $1.18 Quote
jwahlton Posted January 12, 2006 Author Posted January 12, 2006 Unfortunately there aren't any suppliers around me. I don't care for the jelly jar look though I could get those from Wal Mart Fairway doesn't have what I'm looking for either. Quote
MichelleOH Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Julia, I use the Status jars. I don't have a supplier around me either. These jars are expensive but I love them. I watch the classifieds here for them and I have purchased them from Taylored Concepts. They run me close to $2 a jar. My customers must like them to because they buy them:wink2: Quote
AngelaVA Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I use the Status Jars too. I get them from Carolina Candle Supplies b/c it's close to me. Wish they carried the frosted ones, but they don't. These jars are great to wick too, compared with some others I've tested. Quote

Not into containers as much as other people but I LOVE the apothacary with the black metal lids! Especially the ones with the little hangers - adorable. Hate paying much per jar though as I make much more than candles and need to keep cost down while not buying huge quantities at a time. I also live in Florida so let me know if you find a close supplier for these adn I'll do the same. Quote
