ILikeWaxMelts
Anybody Ever Try IGI 4625 "Pillar Blend" in Containers? If so; what kind of luck did you have?Or would it be "Un-safe" Because of the "Hotter Wicks"needed for the "Higher" melt points?Wouldn't it "increase" the Risk of Jars Shattering? Vicky_CO
Your main problem with using a pillar blend in the jar is jar adhesion. You wax would rattle in your jar but other wise a pillar blend will work in jars.
MichiganChandler
The other issue for the OP (first poster) is if it would make a Safe Candle?Being that the Jars are Made for the heat I would assume reasonable safety? EricofAZ
I think I did it once. I'm with Vickie, the pull away was an issue. The heat was not. Heck, that is what votives in containers are about. If you are concerned about the heat, get one of those IR thermometers and measure the heat of the glass at FMP burn. Should be well under 174. Preferably around 140. But more important, the gradient. If the top is 195 and a half inch below it is 100, expect a fracture and leakage.
ILikeWaxMelts
I've considered possibly mixing IGI Pillar Blend; with IGI 4627 Comfort blend in Equal Parts by weight to possibly make this work; I guess the only true way to find out is Test! Test! Test! I suppose...
