kimmeroo
for tarts? I currently use a para-soy but would like to find a great all paraffin blend.
Belinda
When I use silicone molds, I prefer 4625 for tarts. 4794 is also a good all paraffin blend. Some like to mix either one of these with a container wax such as 4630 or 6006 and get good results. I only mix if I'm going to pour into clams though. If I'm using shaped molds I prefer 4625 alone. megandgarr
I do not think you will be disappointed with the 4625. I tried 4794 but with my process and oils, I did not get longevity out of 4794. It had a whopper of a HT for about 4 hours but it fizzled after that (for me at least). Others have had great results with 4794 so go figure. Edited April 30, 2014 by megandgarr

CandleKitty
4625 is what I used to play with, but since I found 1343 - I don't use any other wax, the hot throw is really solid (although some people don't always get the same results, I've never had an issue with it) and the cold throw has always been impressive as well. I use it for pillars, votives and tarts - no issues.

kimmeroo
I used a teeny tiny bit of vybar with 1343 made into brittle..my tester chose the 1343 straight as far as better throw and longevity! So I guess it is as is for me! TY everyone!
Noelle8818
What's the benefit of using a blend? (Sorry I'm new to this and just started making tarts this week!) I need guidance! LOL
Jcandleattic
What's the benefit of using a blend? (Sorry I'm new to this and just started making tarts this week!) I need guidance! LOLthe benefits would be using a pillar wax for the hardness, but the container wax for the scent throw. There are other benefits but those are the main ones.
