Brat
I got a bag of soy votive wax, and I read here where they tend to crack. I was wondering if I can mix a little paraffin container wax in there? I don't want to add a lot, otherwise I'm sure it would cease to be a votive... or would it? Sorry for the dumb question, and thanks in advance for any ideas!
celicagtca
Your soy votive wax shouldn't crack as long as you pour it at the right temp. If you pour to hot, it tends to release quicker from the walls of the molds. I usually pour mine at around 155-157 and have never had them crack. When you start mixing other waxes, you can no longer call it 100% soy and the characteristics tend to change. Try lowering your temp before you start blending waxes. Brat
I will try that first, before I start the mixing thing. Not sure I can do that without making a huge mess anyway! Thanks!
