ISO Hemp Oil soap recipe

I want to make an unfragranced hemp oil soap.

My main oils I use are coconut, palm, olive, soybean, castor, canola, grapeseed, sweet almond oil...........all other oils are hard to come by for me unless I can get it at the grocery store.

Does anyone have a recipe for HEMP OIL SOAP?

I'd start with something simple like

Hemp 10%

Olive 40%

Coconut 30%

Palm 20%

4lb batch

24.32 oz Water

9.2 oz Lye

6.4oz Hemp

19.2oz Coconut

25.6 oz Olive

12.8oz Palm

Superfat with Sweet Almond Oil

I may even try this for myself. I need something extra for winter skin.

It's nice to have hemp in a soap, but I really want to make soap with Hemp as the main oil. Kind of like castile but with hemp oil....Is that possible?

I was thinking a soap with 50% Hemp Oil, 40% Olive Oil, and 10% Castor.....but I don't know if that's even possible. :embarasse

I usually make a castile soap of 90% olive oil, and 10% castor, so I don't know why it wouldn't work with hemp oil too..........?????

You could try it but your soap will be very soft. You really don't need much hemp oil in a recipe to get the benefits of the oil. I would try to get 20 to 30 percent , at least hard oils in there, coconut, PKO, cocoa butter, shea butter .

YA I've heard not to use more than 20 or 30 percent..........Does your soap still go green though? I like the look of that.........so it's obvious with no colorants or dyes, what soap it is..........

I would say if you use 30 percent you would get the greenish color.
