  1. Interesting. How do they work? Do they melt something?
  2. Gingermilk from MMS is nice, if you want a real twist.
  3. Scented - how do you display them? Do you shrink wrap or just put out "au naturel". I have been shrink wrapping and putting in a clear box. I am thinking about putting in a bushel basket so they can be touched. I think they might sell better. I will probably still shrink wrap most of them and just have a few on top that are not wrapped - so they can be handled and smelled. Humm, still trying to decide. Suggestions welcome.
  4. Ha-ha, Scented. What a terrible problem to have. I'll give that a try.
  5. I have basically used fragrance oil dupes at anywhere from 3% - 15%. In perfumes, I have made my daughter several different ones, including Pink sugar (peaks), warm vanilla sugar, be enchanted, Bombshell, and a few others. I love Goddess (SG) for me. I thought Goddess faded too fast - and then my 13 yr old daughter told me (unprompted) that she loves my perfumes but they don't stay on very long. I will try some cyclo and see if we notice a difference. Room sprays - I keep attempting this but get discouraged. The sc***tsy room sprays are way better and last way longer. I even got a few of the same sc**tsy dupes from SOS so I could compare apples to apples. I'll just keep trying - maybe. Thanks for the input!
  6. Just ordered some natrasorb to put in my bathbombs. Susan, from Swift Monkey, mentioned that it helps "fix fragrance to make it last longer." Scented: have you found this to be true? Thanks.
  7. In the past year I have been making roll on perfume and room sprays. They don't have the staying power of commercial perfumes and room sprays. Is there a secret ingredient that helps with that? I have seen "Aromafix" type products to help fragrance. Wondering if that will help? Does anyone have any secret ingredients or tricks to share that will help. I have been using FCO and FO for perfume. I have also tried a 3 or 4 room spray recipes and the room spray base from Catalina Essentials. But the scents fades so fast. Thanks.
  8. Ha-ha!!! I mostly say that for my husbands sake!!! He has learned to just roll his eyes and laugh too.
  9. Just got a sample sale notice from them. Here we go again!! Ha -ha!
  10. 8-Gran-Ones had a pound for sell a few weeks ago in the classies. You might want to contact her and see if she still has it. I love goddess too! You can't have mine!!!
  11. I soap using 30% - 40% tallow. The creamy lather can not be imitated in any veggie recipe I've tried. I have never noticed dryness. My skin is always silky smooth. In fact, I shave with it everyday. I do use Shea butter and 30% olive oil for conditioning. Its a killer bar or soap!!!
  12. Love, love, love MMS! My favorites from them: Spiced Gingerbread, Coconut Lemongrass, Hydrogen, Welcome Home. Their Angel and Coolwater are also very nice. Cotton candy and Brown sugar spice are both good. I have not been disappointed with them!! You will pay a bit more, but the scents are very nice and upscale, IMO.
  13. Yum!! Yum!!! Fall is my favorite time of year. Maybe it's because of all the delicious smells that come that time of year!
  14. Spiced Gingerbread from MMS is my absolute favorite - and I've tried about 10 different ones. It reminds of fresh gingerbread hanging in German markets. Sooo good!!!!
  15. I name it Christmas Cottage for the Holidays and Rustic Cabin the rest of the year. One of my top sellers.
  16. I like Soapalooza's Frankencese, Myrrh & Gold. My second fav is Candle Cacoon's. I've never used the E.O.s - so not sure how close they are, but both are good and strong.
  17. Puma - just watched your link. What a difference!! I liked Alethea's simple, common sense approach to explaining refined waxes. I loved her point that The most important thing is have a clean burning candle!! Amen, Sister!!!
  18. Oh goodness!!! I only got through half of that interview. A bunch of nonsense. I think news organizations should perform some due diligence when they have whack jobs come on. Really, diesel fuel and second hand smoke. I think I need to go on that show and state that when using my candles - it is just like running a marathon. So good for you!!!! I could back if up with some research and studies I just make up. Oh - and my soap cures all kinds of cancer! How do I know this? -because I say it so.
  19. I put a FB post on a local Mom's swap and share group page. I mentioned that I was looking for wax melt testers. I had plenty of interested applicants, and had about 12 testers within three days. I'm finding that opinions about scents are so subjective, but I'm loving the feedback from people that are not friends and family. I feel it has been more honest.
  20. Here's a few I'm planning on: Gingerbread from MMS - so good and unlike any other I've tried. I think I will mix this with pumpkin and see how it does. Christmas Hearth from CS - I put a dash of peppermint in it and Call it Christmas Cabin. Could not keep this in stock. I sell it without peppermint rest of the year and call it rustic cabin. Still sells well. Honey pumpkin chai from Peaks - think I'll give this a go this fall. Love it and had some testers really like it.
  21. I use them and have had no major problems. The only thing that I don't like is that they can be a little tough to open. After you open and close them a few times, they loosen up. It is a little hassle, but for the cost savings, it is worth it. IMO.
  22. I just checked and could not get on either. Hope we at least made an impression that false scare tactics are ridiculous!!! I love organic, natural products, but the crazy, false claims - and the condemning of everything else - drives me crazy!!! I do not enjoy confrontation, but I must admit - I enjoyed that!!! Thanks ladies for the back up!!!
  23. I just posted a comment on her FB page about this - couldn't help myself. I tried to be nice about it. Hope it doesn't start a fight! I'm not into that.
