  1. I think it's fantastic you can involve your kids. Helps them learn satisfaction in work and responsibility. I pay my son who's 7 to stick labels on my sample bags. My three-year-old loves to pull the labels from their backing and hand them to me.
  2. What sort of minimums does the Sunny Life people want? Just curious.
  3. The basic business account--I don't know what exactly they are calling it now--doesn't cost anything aside from the transaction fees. If you don't use the fancy website integration there is no monthly cost. If you choose to have what I think they call website Pro--then you have to pay. The main advantage of Pro (if I'm remembering right from my research) is that the customer stays on YOUR site through the entire checkout. If you use the standard, then the customer goes to the Paypal site for entering their payment information and then is redirected back to your site. For $30 a month (the cost of Pro), I'd rather sign up for a normal credit card processor with lower fees through my bank.
  4. I saw those too and wondered the same thing. I thought it looked like their own line of scented product that didn't 100% compete with their wholesale customers buying their warmers.
  5. I sell at a Farmer's Market too and I sell a lot of single tarts. I bag them in the 3x3 ziploc bags like you can find at KY and Uline with a label on the front. They bag pretty quick and I get lots of customers who buy a variety the first time and then the clamshells of their favorites after that. At craft shows or places where a customer knows they won't see me again soon, I sell hardly any single tarts. They also make a cheap promotional thing to throw in with a larger purchase.
  6. I would be a little bit leery of Vista Wholesale. I ordered through their JD Wholesale site. They are the same company--my credit card showed Vista Wholesale as the merchant. Anyway, several of my warmers arrived broken. When I tried to contact them, I received no response. I tried their online contact form and emailing them directly. I could not find a phone number on their website. After several weeks, I ended up filing a complaint with my credit card company.
  7. I make mine a green color. It sort of throws some people off when I tell them it's my cinnamon scent and it's not red, but "Country Gift Shop" makes me think of green and rustic brown decor.
  8. Country Gift Shop has been one of my best sellers since I started with it in early summer. It is a nice cinnamon/spice smell--and it's strong. I use it at shows to draw people in to my booth.
  9. I've requested samples from Impact, eclamshell and panicplastic and they are all the more flimsy kind. I haven't found any other manufacturers who have these listed as stock clamshells on their websites--and I've even called a few others to check. If anyone has any ideas of manufacturers to check, I'd call and request samples and let you know what the results are.
  10. Do the ICS clamshells have the rounded rectangular shape on the bottom? What I would love to find is a source like Impact, but for the ones I like--I buy multiple hundreds every time I order, so it would be nice to just get a nice, big supply for a cheaper price. I know NG has the ones I like. Also Alabaster, but they have been out of stock for few months now.
  11. I know many people who want a lot of clamshells buy them directly from Impact. My question is has anyone found another supplier? I requested a sample from Impact and I don't like what I received. The clamshell has a light rounded rectangle on the bottom of each cube and the sides, particularly the ones between cubes, do not feel nearly as sturdy as the ones I've been buying from NG and other places. The ones I like have no rounded rectangle on the bottom and if you hold it at an angle to the light, you can see a light X on the bottom of each cube. They feel so much more sturdy than the sample I received from Impact and I've used 100s of them, so I know they work with my wax and FOs without smelling like plastic. Any suggestions? I've requested samples from three different suppliers and they are all the same. I can't seem to find any others to try through Google. Thanks so much!
