    Hello, Im a beginner of making candles.

    I tried to make a container candle with nature c-3 wax. The container is 7.75oz libbey lexington jar and it has  2 7/8 inches diameter.

     

    What wick do you recommend?

     

    should i do a wick test after mixing with dye and fo?

     

    Also, the it has to have a melt pool reaching to a wall of container after 2hrs burning? Or it shouldnt touch the glass? I checked how to do the wick test in youtube and internet. And it really confuses me..

      I am not a C3 user to be able to tell you a starting point- with all the soy issues out there and C3 being one of them not wicking normal any guess I would have is out the door 

       

      I would search the threads for C3 and read the most recent ones regarding wicking and I do feel you need to test the wax naked first before adding FO and dye to see how it burns and then add one variable at a time

    Hi everyone I bought a box of GW416 wax from a new to me vendor and I am having serious issues with it. Has anyone else had any problems with this wax?

    I have purchased the wax in the past from other vendors and never had any issues

      Where did you buy it from

      I am very new to the wax being a PB user until the reformulating took place and so far I'm having very good results

      what are the issues your running into

    I told you I'd let you know about the WSP tests I did. Well you were spot on ;) with the VBN! Thank you so much, I really appreciate the advice. As for the Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, that didn't test as well as FB.

    So thanks again, VBN rocks both hot and cold!

      Good to know about the PPW- I use the FB so I won't consider testing the WSP Version

      Their VBN is amazing and I got my order the other day of Fraser fir and I LOVE it 

      the rainforest is interesting I have to put it in wax to see oob it doesn't seem to be the same as Aveda

      magogany teakwood and fabulosa are spot on and smell amazing
