  5. Zink wicks just don't burn hot enough for soy (yes I know some people use them just fine). I would just for a test, pull the zinks out of 1 jar and take the tab off of the cd wicks you have and stick them in the holes that you have. You may need to make the holes bigger with a wooden match stick. Trim and light them and carefully monitor them to see how they burn, adjust the size of the wick from there. A few things to check: make sure you use the reccomended amount of fragrance --- Cinnamon and other spicy scents sometimes require hotter wicks --- Don't just add extra scent thinking it will make it stronger, proper wicking does the job --- also make sure you don't fill the jar past the midway point of the curvature of the jar or it might flood itself out. I am not accusing just reminding If the above test works better put the jars in the oven on a baking sheet on low temp, melt wax, pour back into pour pot, remove old wicks and secure new wicks to bottom and repour. good luck
  6. Fish in a Bag Ducks on the Pond Santa on Ice Flip Flops Frog on a Pond Monster-B-Gone Reindeer Attractant reindeer chow I've heard of Fish in a Bag, but dag, am I that far out of the loop? What are these? Post pics if you have them, Please!
  7. Check these out, they might be easier to make and cheaper. http://www.plumcreekcollectibles.com/images/323.jpg
  8. I've used this place. I sent him bottles and a drawing and he made it custom. http://www.woodbitz.com/
  9. Call me crazy, but how about feathers and beads, alright, crazy. I have also made one to look like an old TV with knobs, then printed a picture with close caption comments on the picture. I did one picture of a friend who was tanked. I put the Cops logo in the corner and the caption on the bottom, "Honest officer I only had 2 drinks" (he was holding up 1 finger in the picture, yah, you know the one). You could use any show, or take a picture of all of your co-workers and decorate the frame like you all hit the Powerball. You could take a picture of your boss and make the frame look like brick and the picture to look like it has barson it. I've made so many for friends maybe I should start taking pictures.

  11. I have dealt with this man and he was very fast and would customize if needed. I sent a container and he made it to fit and only charged me $3 more. http://www.woodbitz.com/shop.htm
  12. Are you looking for a mason that holds 12oz? Try looking for 16oz, they only hold around 12oz.
  13. As long as you don't want white ink, maybe you could print and apply your own "Iron On" which you can buy at any office supply or craft store. My 2 cents, keep the change.
  14. I called Al about this and he said it was "Global Warming"
  15. If the tins have a seam at the bottom you might want to test and see if they will leak. I bought some at Hobby Lobby and they leaked so I just put a bead of GE silicone caulk around the inside bottom and they worked great. Hobby lobby closed them out after christmas for 23 cents a piece, I bought around 100 they had left plus matching paper bags for 15 cents each.
  16. Try these: http://cgi.ebay.com/Miniature-Rocking-Chair-for-Dolls-or-Bears-Collectors_W0QQitemZ120285431639QQcmdZViewItem?IMSfp=TL0807201433r20734 http://necessaryextras.com/18inchbear/furniture/index.html http://stores.ebay.ca/JDS-HANDMADE-CRAFTS-AND-SUPPLIES_DOLL-FURNITURE_W0QQfsubZ17064977QQfrsrcZ1
  17. I have decorated them with those foam shapes you get at Michaels. I then glued a straight pen to the shapes which I decorate with craft paint and stick them in the end of the reed. You can then pull them out and flip them. We have also strung beads on wire then wrapped them, and ordered erasers from Oriental Traders for like $4.00 a gross and just stuck them on the ends. Take a reed and go to the craft store and get ideas. It helps if you have dreams at night and you wake up with lots of ideas.
  18. Jane42 I know these are'nt glass but acrylic. They have inserts in them that can be painted or whatever. The paint or drawing would'nt get scratched off this way. You could just pass around the inserts to be painted or drawn on with paint or colored pencils and then put them together. Just my 2 cents, no change please. http://www.allstitch.net/product/acrylic-coaster-wcork-base-3953.cfm
  19. The jars size is based on what they were originally made for. A 12oz. hex was made for honey and will hold 12oz of honey. An 8oz. Jelly jar holds 7oz. of wax. Remember you are melting the wax by weight and filling by volume. You melt 16oz. of parifin wax by weight and you get 20oz. of wax by volume. You melt 16oz. of Soy by weight and you get 18oz. by volume. You then have to account for fragrance you add. It's like when you get 1lb. of fragrance and all the bottles are filled to different levels because they all have different density to them.
  20. Candlelady, How about printing some real heavy card stock, cutting them in circles to fit snug down inside the top of the candle. You could use the plastic lids from candles & Supplies ,cut the fancy paper they use in scrapbooking to place on top of them to add color and style. You could spray paint the plastic lids too. Oh yah, you could have your husband hand carve lids out of that tree you been wanting to cut down (LOL). That's about all my cheap mind can think of right now.
  21. Jess05, I use soy tart wax with 1.5oz/lb. of scent, and I get 12 clams from 1 lb. It really depends on how high you fill them. Louie vbmenu_register("postmenu_659096", true);
  22. I've used these people and were amazed at the quality & price. Have them send you a flyer with pricing and samples. www.usaprintbroker.com
  23. Check out Pattern Maker http://www.hobbyware.com/ . This program does everything and is fairly inexpensive. I use it to scan patterns that my mother had for years and it will put them in just like a regular pattern. It has a huge font file and even takes photos and turns them into cross stitch which I output to my commercial embroidery machine. I print out the patterns and keep them in a book.
