  1. Looks good..your off to a great start...it is fun isn't it ;-)
  2. Hello everyone: I am not sure what is going on with my candles and not sure what to call it, perhaps shrinkage? This happens when the candle cools, it seems to have a ring of wax on top. This is before the candle is even burned. Any help would be greatly appreciated, tried to research it, but not even sure what it's called, so I am hitting a brick wall. TIA :-) Wax: IGI 6006 Heating: to 185 Add FO: 175 Pouring temp: 160 Cooled in preheated tumblers in oven. Tumbler Link: http://www.lonestarcandlesupply.com/products/candlecontainers_libbey-tumbler-universal-8.25oz.html This is happening with and without fragrance and color. Sorry if the pics are too big, not sure how to adjust on here. Thanks again for looking

  4. Best of luck...Be sure to keep us posted and share some pics if you can
  5. I use the yogurt straight from the fridge. It doesnt replace an oil. Use your full oils from your recipe. Just half water (with lye), and half yogurt (at trace). HTH
  6. I do and I love it. I have made regular, goats milk and soy milk yogurt soaps. I treat it like I would regular milk. I use the half and half method (half water with your lye..then half yogurt at trace). I am sure there are more ways to do this, this is just what I do and works well for me. The soaps are so creamy and my skin loves it. I also use Aloe juice instead of water. HTH
  7. Those are adorable and making me hungry for some sugar. I can see why they sold so well...Awesome work ;-)
  8. Gorgeous candles..you always do such nice work ;-)
  9. Peak's Love Spell is very good too I don't buy from WSP anymore because of the pricing. Besides their silicone molds there isn't anything they have I cannot live without.
  10. I think I heard somewhere that Brown Sugar and Fig is the same as Scentsy's French Kiss.
  11. I think the Peak one is dead on. I never smelled the original until today at the mall, and my first thought "Hey that smells like my Peak oil". I don't care for this scent either, but other people love it. Go figure :-)
  12. Sounds like a fun experiment...looking forward to hearing how it turns out..with pics!! Good luck :-)
  13. Taylored Concepts http://www.tayloredconcepts.com has a Trapp dupe of orange vanilla..called orange vanilla 20...I have not personally tried it yet, but it is on my list on my next visit over there. HTH

  17. your candles are lovely. I like the tumblers. I think they give your candles a more sophisticated look. Great job :-)
  18. I have used Mediterranean Fig in CP soap with great results. It lasts a long time. HTH
  19. Wow...I tried this today and I have to say I absolutely love it. It came out absolutely perfect. Original Post: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73890 Here is the recipe: 60% Sugar (combo of white and coarse sugar, see measurement for amts) 12% Butters (2% should be cocoa butter, the other 10 can be shea or mango) 20% Oils 3% E-wax 3% Stearic Acid 2% Fragrance Oil Preservative of choice at proper usage amount I used cocoa butter and mango butter. Shea is always so darn greasy to me. I used Grapeseed oil for the oils. Half white sugar and half turbinado sugar. Fragrance was Lonestar's White Cake. (Smell is incredible in B and B products and super cheap) Scrub did not turn thick and pasty. Not heavy on the skin, Scrubby enough to satisfy me. It feels absolutely fabulous. Space girl, where ever you are ..I thank you!!
  20. Anything tropical would blend well with it I think. Coconut, Pineapple, maybe plumeria?
  21. Wow those are awesome..200 testers? omg...lol Beautiful soaps...looking forward to seeing more!!!
