Hi I am new at making clamshells, and was trying to figure out if all clamshell molds are the same? I have a local candle supply co in my town, but everytime I pour a clamshell it smells just like melted plastic. I have been pouring them at 160 degrees. I was wondering if maybe it's the kind that this company carries. any suggestions?

Hi I was wondering how you poured you wax without it having a melted plastic smell? I am using votive wax with my, but it just smell like plastic.
