  4. @rutlandjustmakesscents IGI 4636 CONTAINER BLEND WAX (J-50)Soft and creamy, this low-shrink blend is designed specifically for paraffin container candles. This blend was formerly known as Astorlite J-50. Several companies sell this wax. Hope this helps
  5. Thanks @TallTayl I know there's a lot of new candlemakers here, I though it might help them.
  6. I guess a word for the wise, watch what companies fill fragrance by the ounce or the fl.ounce, what you get will vary.
  7. @TallTayl I never judge weight by looking for a filled container, I weighed each component separately, scent, container and then together, still short. I know each fragrance density will be different depending on compound, an ounce is still an ounce.. Funny thing is I rarely check orders because I work with a few companies for many years, trust and reputation have been earned. This company charges a hefty premium $$ for their products.
  8. Does anyone periodically weigh your fragrance when you receive an order? I ordered from a new vendor and my instinct told me to check the weights. I ordered (4) 4oz scents, 3 out of 4 scents can in at 3oz. I used two different scales, both showed the exact weight. Is there a "new way" companies are weighing fragrances? I just like to hear your thoughts.
  9. @evilsprig Friendly Fumes has a oil named Vanilla Nut Bread. Here's a page link: https://www.friendlyfumes.com/Fragrance-Lists_ep_51-1.html This is a 4th generation company based out of Pa, and yet I never heard of them so I can't tell much more about them. Maybe someone on this board can share information about this company. Good luck

  16. Given the continued container & lid shortage, what your thoughts about DIY concrete containers? Have you thought adding or making your own? For me this would have to be a local selling item, shipping would be $$$. I'd like to try maybe a 8 or 12 oz. size. Any tips or good like to how to make them would be appreciated.
