  1. I actually have a friends who is a therapist and she wants to get into aroma therapy. I was only planning on keeping a small selection because of the cost but also sprays and oils (for an oil burner) and only do the aroma therapy candles in my smaller sizes (no bigger than 2.5oz containers). If they do well for my friend she may end up giving my cards to the other therapists in her office. I certainly don't mind playing with them for a bit just to say I've done it. XD I'm always up for a challenge! I also plan on making sure people know that they aren't going to have a huge scent throw because of the fact the candles are made with real essential oils.
  2. I have a couple of people wanting to order candles with only pure essential oils and I'm curious do I add the same amount of EO that I usually do with FO to my candles? I know they wont smell quite as strong and so I'm not concerned about that but essential oils are so much more expensive (found a decently priced supplier so yay!) and I'll have to change the price to reflect how each oil is a different price but that'll also depend on how much EO I need to add. I few sights said just a few drops but it didn't give an appropriate amount of wax to only add a few drops to. If no one knows I'll just add the same amount I would add of FO to the candles.

  4. lol, she loved it to much she can't bring herself to burn it! XD The bead work I did last minute with some beads my sister wanted to throw away but I saved. XD Waste not want not.
  5. @CandyBee: Yeah, already looked through that before I joined. I found one but it moved months ago to a new state. T.T @Meg: I use ecosoya right now and would like to stick with it if possible but I don't mind testing out a new wax if I can get it cheaper.
  6. I'm trying to find a cheaper company to buy soy wax from and was hoping to get some suggestions. I've tried finding local companies with no luck (Vegas) and I've been using Peak Candle (cheapest wax I've been able to find) and I've checked a few other sites but it's all been higher so far. If there's a thread already that explains it I honestly can't find it and any help would be loved! Even if you just tell me where to find said thread.
  7. New but I made this the night before last for an order form a co worker who wanted to give it to his girlfriend. Ignore the fish tank cords! They don't stay where I want them to. I was curious to see what everyone thought of them.
  8. I began to sell candles to friends, family and co workers and I've started to get a good amount. I began it as a way to offset the costs of making the candles but it's begun to take off. One of the first questions I have is molds! Is there any restrictions I need to know about with using pillar molds? I mean, can you get in trouble for using a mold? Everywhere I look online has conflicting information and reading through threads I haven't been able to figure out the answer! Also, what insurance companies do you recommend? Soon I'll be moving to the Seattle area and would love to have a local place but I'm certainly open to any company that has nationwide coverage. I know someone who has a good company and I might just go with them but I want to see what else is out there. I might have two other people I might be going into business with on this and since all three of us are great friends it'll be great plus shared costs/profits. Plus more resources in general. Not a for sure thing though. I've looked up the stuff about getting a small business license and well probably be doing that when I move up there since it doesn't seem like a huge ordeal (plus a have a family member who went through the process for a different business and she says she'll help me).
