  1. Monkey Farts sell just because of the name...apparently it makes a great 'gag' gift. I also have trouble selling 'Sex on the Beach' so have mixed it with 'Happy' fragrance and call it Seduction. Works for me!
  2. Go with the powder! Takes up less storage space, easier to handle and doesn't have the goopy feel to it. Also makes a terrific gift if you put it in a cloth bag with a little tag and tie on it!
  3. Those are just too cute! That would make bathtime a lot of fun.
  4. Sounds yummy...I love my white tea and ginger but the berries has me interested. Where did you get that Fragrance from?
  5. Busy restocking the soap reserves. Will need to make one unscented, a cranberry splash(my mixture of cranberry scents with poppyseeds in a swirl), possibly a white tea and ginger and Seduction (combination of two scents - Happy & Sex on the Beach).
  6. Thanks...I am absolutely addicted to making soap. I call it my hobby that pays for itself...good thing too otherwise we would have a lifetime of soap to use up at home!
  7. Thanks for checking out my page on Facebook..just had the logo done by a local artist. She is very talented and gave me exactly what I was looking for. There is a lot of meaning behind the logo. Not only does the stylized C & dragonfly tie into the Country Magic name and mine (Chris) it also represents the daughter of a family friend who was killed in a car accident 4 years ago (Corinne). Everytime the family thinks of her they almost always see dragonflies (summer only around here) and that has come to symbolize their daughter. Keeps the good memories alive at this end too!
  8. For some reason I can't start a thread or post pictures on this forum. Check out my pictures on Facebook @ Country Magic Soaps.
  9. Great inspiration! Thanks for the bubble wrap tip kyme1911 & charmcandleco. I needed to make some milk, honey & oatmeal soap and proceeded to do just that today. I used bubblewrap and can't wait for the unmolding tomorrow! This along with some mango & papaya blended with orange & yellow pop micas and poppyseeds. My soap room smells delicious.
  10. Looks great and probably smells delicious too! I like the whole oats on the top...I often make mine that way too. Question for all the honey, oatmeal soap makers out there. Just what do you use to make the honeycomb appearance on the top of the bars? They look like something with a lot of little circles on it. I can't make a new thread and post (any idea why not?) so thought I would try it here. Thanks
  11. I made this the other day. I usually make my scrubs with a cream soap base so this one is oily in comparison. It is much nicer than the straight sugar & oil scrubs as it doesn't have the oil slick on top. Great for very dry skin. I gave my sister some to try as during the winter months her skin is soooo very dry. This one has potential and I am tempted to tweak my existing scrub to see if I can perfect my own recipe!
  12. Those little duckies are so very cute! What kid wouldn't want to have a bath and actually use some soap. Well done!
  13. I don't use a base for my lipbalms but for melting and pouring, I purchased a small stainless steel teapot from restaurant supply. The narrow spout works perfectly for pouring. I also recommend the lip balm fillingtrays..makes life so much easier.
  14. It is runny but works as a wonderful drizzle. I did wedding favours this year...made the mini bars from cp soap and drizzled with melt and pour. The squeeze bottles worked well for that.
  15. There is soap and then there is your soap. Nothing like taking soaping to the next level. Beautiful soaps.
  16. I have used the sisal ones from WSP. I find them rather scratchy and and somewhat unattractive after they have been used. I much prefer the white soap saver nylon ones. They are sold at WSP and I have seen them at WalMart. My customers also like them better!
  17. I'm with everyone else... sugar scrubs all the way!
  18. I use the cigar bands and shrink wrap using bands from WSP. They also have the open ends which customers like for sniff tests.
  19. Beautiful swirls. Love the colour and the artistic flair.
  20. I am using Go Daddy...mainly because it was easy to purchase the domain name I wanted and have them host my website as well. It is a very simple template and modifications they have made to it make it easier to use. Still a pain to upload pictures quickly but it does what I need it to do for now.
  21. Dragon's Blood - New Directions Aromatics This is one of my favourites and it holds up extremely well in cp soap.
  22. Great colours and swirls on your soaps. Now I will have to check out the place where you purchased your mold. Sounds very versatile.
  23. :cheesy2:Wonderful looking soaps! I have used the Mr. Do Right molds for over 3 years and really like them. No leakage, easy to unmold and no warping. I have cleaned them up in the dishwasher too with no problems.
