okay; ty so much! that explained it very clear to me. another question: okay, so to know how much wax to make for one container, i was told to fill it with water and then epmty the water & measure it. but i don't see how that will tell me how much wax to make? bc water would be measured but cups when wax is in weight. can someone explain that to me?

okay, so i know you use 1 oz FO to 1 lb wax. but..when you are mixing FO and it says for example: "Country Berry: 2 parts blueberry, 2 parts raspberry, 1 part strawberry" i don't understand how to do that. can someone explain it to me. thank you in advance.

i've been interested for awhile on bakery candles. i've been researching before i jump into making my first. but i seem to be at a dead stop when it comes to finding tutorials or how to's on making bakery candles. does anyone recommend a site that will help me with this process? i'm trying to figure out what the best wax for bakery style candles are? how to make the "fudge sauce" for like ice cream sundaes, just tips & tricks for making these style candles. thank you in advance!

just wondering.. do you use molds to make your wax fruits & etc? i've been trying to find molds for all the wax items i make but molds are hard to find.. do you suggest any websites for molds?

I was curious & Decided to look into other forums & see what they have to bring, ideas, gallery, etc. But ...i just have no lucky. this is the onther one i can find that people actually use. other ones haven't had post since 2OO5 & etc. just curious if ya'll use any others.

Now i see that ya'll are talking about a blend of both, where would i find a helpful thread or link about blending? is it more of half and half.. or just testing both waxes together till i find a mixture i like? I'm trying to research and make notes of everything before i go out and buy everything to try. I've always been told that Zinc Core Wicks are the best? so i was going to try those out. do you agree?

hello everyone, I'm a newbie and doing a little bit of research before i start into my candle making journey. I've been looking into other candle makers sites trying to find little tips & tricks that could possibly use in the near future. I have a couple of questions on some stuff I've found; First Question: If you had to choice between Paraffin & Soy Wax which would you prefer? & why? Second question: On a site i found, on their FAQ page it talks about their candles being "triple-scented"; "...We use 3 times the industry standard...". So does that mean, for example, when normally they would use 1 oz. of FO per Pound of wax they use 3 oz. per pound of wax? Please bare with my many questions, I'm a newbie. This is my first post.
