  1. I use Starburst palm wax for 3 x 3 pillars. Use about 4 oz of scent for 5 pounds of wax and a CSN 11 wick. Every now and then the candle side ruptures (about 1 in ten candles) during the burn and wax leaks all over the place. I have tried CSN 12 and 14 wicks and it seems to happen more often. CSN 11 wicks often burn a nice circle right through the center of the candle - but every now and then make a mess. Any thoughts? Fuzzbeak
  2. Any good links for how to make a palm candle like that? I have no idea how those striations in the candle are even possible. In fact, I suspect alien technology... Fuzz
  3. Hello everyone! Just started making pillars and had a basic question or two. Pic attached of a recent attempt. First - I do three pours for a pillar. The second is to fill the space created by the holes I punch, then I do a final pour to finish it off. Seems like I am getting some rough edges around the candle though. I also get that little band sometime right at the top. Do you guys recommend two or three pours? Any other advice? Oh - how important is it to use a thermometer? I dont. Fuzz...
