  1. Have you thought about local daycare centers? I go for the larger ones, not the small mom-and pop ones, as there are more parents, so more sales. Good luck!
  2. I made some 8 oz soy candles using CB Advanced Soy. Only on some of the candles is a crack around the wick in a circle. What causes this? I am melting at 175 and pouring at 150.
  3. I am new at this, and I was wondering if wick tabs are necessary to make jar candles? Some "how to" websites tell you to just glue the wick directly into the bottom center of the jar. Have you tried this? Thanks.
  4. You could offer buyers a discount on future orders with return of candle jars. That way you could reuse them (if possible) but would also hopefully help with reorders.
  5. I have some bath and body works home fragrance oil, the ones that come in the .33 oz. Are these okay to use in making soy candles? Please do not tell me to "search" as I have already tried that. If you do not have something nice to say in your answer please do not respond. Sorry for the attitude, but there are a lot of rude people on here!
  6. I am new to this, and there seems to be so much conflicting info about temperatures. I am talking about soy wax candles, poured into 16 oz jars. Some websites say to heat wax till 150, then pour at 100. Others say to heat to about 175 and pour at 150. This seems like a big difference! What do you recommend??
  7. Hello, I am new here. I was wondering what the cost of making candles is for the types of waxes. I have some soy wax, and some 16 oz jars, and I figured it would be about $5 to make per candle, which seems a little high. I have not tried any other kinds of wax yet, as I have only made 6 candles so far :rolleyes2 How much should the cost of jars/containers be? Thanks!
