  1. I think you have the option at checkout to put your address but I'm not sure. I emailed them but havent heard anything back yet. Maybe u could just send them an email as well or even call. I have called them a few times in the past and they have always been very helpful. There scents are really nice.
  2. Hi Joannec, thanks. Those are the companies i was gonna go with as well. I will try to get a few more quotes from others and then see. I absolutely love the scents from Natures'Garden but they only ship to the UK not to Germany. If sensory perfection doesn't work out i will try to get my FO's from Nature's Garden through my friends in the states. At least i know which scents are worth buying from them. I'm at the beginning of my research again like i was when i started the business in the states ugh. I will start some testing again and hopefully can start something serious around next christmas. LOL. If i find anything else about wax i will let you know as well if you are interested.
  3. Hey there, sorry if these questions came up already a lot. I tried to search but couldn't really find anything. I moved from SD back to Germany since this is where I'm originally from. While living in the states we had a small candle business and my husband wants to try over here again really bad. They don't even have white barn etc or something like BBW here. The scented candles, basically anything smelly doesn't even come close to what we used to have in the states. So now i want to do them first for us and friends again and then check out the laws here and maybe go into business again over here in the long run. Anybody on here that uses wax suppliers from the uk or are there any crafters from the uk? Any FO Suppliers that you can recommend? I found one here in Germany and ordered a few samples and they were horrible. I'm thankful for any help or directing me to thread that were already posted about this subject. Thanks and have a great Sunday, Julia
  4. yes i think duty is different, but if i have to pay that much duty if i get it commercially send it would not be worth it. My husband had shoes shipped (from a company, not through friends) and paid an outrageous amount. We usually order things and have friends send them to us declared as "gift". I'm getting something for christmas for our kids anyway, i should try to get some FO's at least a few for us to make some candles for the holidays, in the box as well. Just checking how the ladies here in Germany usually get their stuff. It seems like ubure gets her FO's from the states.
  5. Thanks, i have read through some of her posts but cant PM her yet. I have been lurking around for a while but I'm not the big writer on here :-)
  6. Hi, has anybody successfully shipped /or received FO shipments here in Germany? I would have it send through a private person, not the supplier itself. Does anybody have info's on duty and shipping requirements? I know usps only ships FO's with a higher flashpoint then 200F. Any info appreciated as we moved here to Germany and i would like to start making candles again but it seems like all the good suppliers are in the states besides the very few ones in the UK. If i could i would like to stick to the ones i know and have used while living in the states. Thanks, Julia
  7. Hi, I'm new to the forum and have these glass bowls at home that i would like to try out. Do you have any recommendation of wicks i should start testing with. I appreciate any help you guys have for me. Would you double wick this container? Then I'm totally lost of where to start. Wax I'm using is Echanted Lites Container Wax, no dye. Thanks, Julia H 2 1/2 inches, T 4 inches. 14.5oz
  8. I am about to order some new FO's from Peak or Natures Garden, I can't decide yet. I would like to try the aromabeads and was wondering if anyone prefers the one supplier over the other and why. Also what sells better for you and what is cheaper for you to make, Aroma beads or smelly jelly for those who sell it? Thanks, Julia
