  1. I thought I asked this question before but I searched was unable to find anything. I was in Nieman's and saw the cutetest overpriced thing, :rolleyes2 Agaria Tassle Air. Anyone make one of these before? I looked inside, it's a tassel with a little pouch holding potpourri. Very cute, looks simple but very high end. http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod56990046&eItemId=prod56990046&cmCat=search&searchType=MAIN&parentId=&icid=&rte=%252Fsearch.jhtml%253FN%253D0%2526Ntt%253Dtassle%2526_requestid%253D29509
  2. Thanks everyone, I'll try the mini molds.
  3. I found this site today and they have some really cool molds. Anyone order form this company before, and if you have what results have you had either with soap or candles. I'm really more interested in using the soap molds for candle melts, I guess I need to call them and ask if I could use them for that. 4. Okay I'll give them a try. I tried some 28's (I'm going off of memory, that number might be wrong) and they looked okay. The melt pool did not go to the edge of the small container.
  5. Hopefully someone will chime in, I'm having heck with these containers. I have so many wicks and none of them are working. I think in the small I'll use 2 wicks, in the medium 2 or 4 and in the large 4. I'll search the board to see what I can come up with. Thanks!!
  6. Sorry I missed that question. I'm using IGI 6006 wax. I measured directly vertically across the opening. Large-Largest Opening 5 1/2 inches Medium-Largest Opening 5 inches Small-Largest Opening 3 inches
  7. I guess I should have asked where do I start. All of the wicks I've tried so far have not worked. I'm starting to get a little collection of useless wicks. So far I've only used the standard candle containers, so this set throwing me for a loop.
  8. Thanks for all the wonderful input. I'll keep an eye on the temps, I definitely don't' want to sell anything that may crack and cause damage. I measured directly vertically across the opening. Large-Largest Opening 5 1/2 inches Medium-Largest Opening 5 inches Small-Largest Opening 3 inches
  9. I'm not quite sure what Dolomite is, I think it's just a general name they gave them. The sales rep told me they are hand painted ceramic. I've was wick testing most of yesterday, and so far I've got the small one figured out but the medium and large size have stumped me. I found a website once that helped with measuring the bottom of candle containers to try to figure out where to start with wicks. Anyone know the website. I've seen it before but I can't find it.
  10. I bought some Dolomite Containers on clearance and I'm having a hard time finding wicks that work. Has anyone used these container before? Sizes 5 1/2", 5" & 4" http://www.priestinc.com/web_products/CASUAL_PAGE63_N2NEW.htm
  11. I found out today Riekes Glass went out of business! I'm probably late, but I had a stock pile of glass so I haven't ordered anything in while. I kept calling and all the numbers are disconnected, finally I called Libbey and they confirmed it. Such a terrible thing. I don't like to buy glass from AAA Candle or Taylored, they are to high. Who else had great prices on glass? Libbey suggested Mitchell Amusements in Louisiana and Early American Candle in PA for 3 types of glass I'm looking for...that I haven't seen anywhere. I would want something i can't find.
  12. Did you have to secure it to the wall so it wouldn't tip over? I can't imagine trying to secure this to a cement wall!
  13. I've been searching the web for store wooden display cases that I can put against the wall, and 3 tier stands but I haven't been able to find any. I'd like them to look like the examples below. I found one website but shipping would kill me, I'd like to find something in Dallas, TX or the surrounding DFW area. Anyone know of places that I can walk in buy them? http://nancysrecipes.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/saturday-pics-sausage-swirls-pd-eggs-026.jpg http://nancysrecipes.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/saturday-pics-sausage-swirls-pd-eggs-026.jpg Nicole! TIA!
  14. I searched for an answer to this, but I wasn't able to find anything. How do you market 6006, as Soy or Paraffin or a Soy-Para Blend? I've read it has more Paraffin than Soy, I want to make sure if I decide make/sell them I'm not deceptive in marketing them. TIA
  15. These are beautiful, but when they're being burned, the wax doesn't soften??
  16. I found a website one time with colored aluminum bottles but I didn't bookmark it. Does anyone know where I can buy some? TIA Nicole

    Reed Sticks

What kind of Reed Sticks are these, they don't look like normal kind. Are they better than the regular ratan kind? I've been trying to find a really good one. http://store.crabtree-evelyn.com/fragrance-diffuser-ind53635.html http://store.crabtree-evelyn.com/fragrance-diffuser-dis79176.html
  19. I did a search but I couldn't find a post where both of 4630 & 6006 are mixed together 50/50. I played around and mixed them together and I love the results. My wet spots are mostly gone but time will really tell. I live in Texas so there is always room for wet spots. :smiley2: Now my issue is wicking, my plan going forward is to mix 50/50 but now I have to change my wicks and I don't know where to start. I read somewhere zinc wicks work better with 6006. Anybody have wicking ideas for these waxes mixed??
