  1. Definately try Lovely by Sara Jessica Parker! I love that one and get asked about it alot, so I get to hand out lots of business cards that way! LOL
  2. Diffuser base from JS works really well. We use her bottles, reeds and base and have has great results and sales! HTH!
  3. We mix ours using OO and FO and never tell our customers to add water. Oil and water don't mix! When the water evaporates / burns off it will sizzle and crack your pot. Ask me how I know. We tried it with the tea light warmer and learned the lesson quickly! We use mostly electric warmers now, which are a bit more forgiving. We've never had smoke or steam with our electric ones, but we sure did with our tea lights! We test in both and I never dilute in water anymore. One cracked pot was enough! LOL
  4. Strong pumpkin scents for us is: Pumpkin Spice Latte from Just Scent (this is a STRONG oil and super nice in wax!) Pumpkin Bread from Just Scent is super strong also and has more of a bakery type note to it. Really smells like you're baking pumpkin bread in the oven Frosted pumpkin type from JS also has a great throw and is a dead on duplication of the yankee type. Delicious!
  5. Oh? Are you not the same person that recently moved from TX to MI and has rats for pets? The avatar was the same that was used on another board, as were the pictures that you posted here and there. Oh well...my mistake I guess... As for the New JS Buttercream Frosting, this one is a more true buttercream, not quite as heavy as the older one, if that makes sense. A little less buttery, a little more creamy.
  6. We've always had good luck with this one in our C3. The first one we tried was from another supplier and it didn't throw well, so I almost didn't order it from JS, expecting the same results. Happy to say tho, the JS one throws really well for us!
  7. Actually the new buttercream from JS is awesome, especially in soy! Soycrazy, you were the one that was giving rave reviews of this on another site you were the reason I gave JS's a try!
  8. We put sleighbells (7%) in our testers and we'll back WAY off from that next time. It throws well enough that I put it out after about 30 minutes! Not such a great "tester" since I had to put it out so soon. LOL So yes, from what we're seeing, it throws REALLY well in palm wax!
  9. We got ours from Peaks. I wicked up on it, thinking it would be harder to get a mp out of (similar to C3 wicking..wick UP!) but the flame thrower effect isn't really working for me.
  10. Ok, so it's not just me! I wish I had the lot number on my box, but as soon as I get it, I transfer it to another bin..dangit!
  11. Got this wax in today so we'll be playing with it tomorrow! WOOT! I can't wait!
  12. We contacted Cargil at one point but I didn't want or need a semi truck backing up to our driveway LOL
  13. Does your website track visitors IP addresses, length of visit, pages visited, etc.? I wouldn't reply to the email, but only because all of the information he's asking about is on our site.
  14. I'd love to know who it is, if you have one that throws well!
  15. I can't wait to hear how it does for you. This one is going to be a great seller for us!
  16. ROFLMAO!!!! It's true..put the correct postage on it and ship it. Man, something so simple turned into such a long thread...too funny. Jakalex, too funny, and VERY accurate! LOL
  17. I have this one, you'll like it. It's an exact dupe of the original.
  18. YES! Thats exactly it! I thought I was the only one having problems with this! Glad to know it's not just me! Did your candles have the slushy / crunchy tops as well?
  19. That about covers it! I'll probably use up the last of the C3 in our wickless candles, since it seems to be fine in that (go figure!). For candles tho, we're switching over to a blend.
  20. Not if I have to pay for hair extensions in the process!
  21. Thats what I'm saying, out of the same pour pot, same stirring, same fo, same wicks..everything...2 out of 5 candles were ok. To me, it's not worth my time to make it right. Time is money in business, something alot of people forget to figure. You may make $5 profit off a candle but if it takes you 2 days to make that candle, you've just lost money. Even if you're paying yourself minimum wage, you've lost money.
  22. Thats what we're experiencing right now with it. I'm not wasting my time dinking around with it anymore. I've always had very good luck with this supplier, but C3 is way too expensive to get an "iffy" batch right now.
  23. mushy tops but with almost a sugar crystal like consistency. I would have sworn it was something I did wrong but there was no rhyme or reason. Out of the same pour pot, same fo, same everything, 3 out of 10 candles would be ok. Those aren't good odds. Last night, I poured 3 candles, again, same pour pot, same fo, same wick, same jars.. NONE of the three candles hardened. They "slushed". I've never had this happen before and I've never seen or heard anything like it happening. This is the same technique we've used for years and have never had this happen. Something with this batch of wax tho, because I tried a bit that I had left over from our last batch and it was another beautiful candle.
  24. I've worked with C3 for years but this last batch isn't playing nice and I'm not up to "bending it to my will" like the good little minion it's always been LOL With the price going way up, we're expanding into a different wax that we also really love. I hate to say goodbye to C3, but until they make it more dependable and consistent, they're losing our business. We changed the name and look of our business, let all our customers know and have pretty much made the switch. So far, all the responses have been positive about the soy blend instead of the "pure soy".
