  1. I interchange avocado and sweet almond oil. They have very close sap values so when I make a 4 1/2# batch I don't even have to change the lye amount.
  2. Oh my Ange, Speachless, breathless, beautiful, inspiring, awesome, and anything else that everyone has said. So much talent!
  3. when some FO's are kept quite cool, there will be some clouding in the FO. I was always instructed by the supplier to shake well until the FO is clear. I think it might be a good idea to give them a shake in case of sediment at the bottom.
  4. It turned out beautiful, Miss Sara. The colors are perfect for that scent.
  5. Give the girl a break and order some off her web site http://www.ebcandles.com I did cause that stuff is awesome.
  6. Gosh e, the soap looks so good except for the crumbles. The blind swirls came out perfect. I have had a few crumbly batches, and if you can, why don't you try to clean up and salvage what bars you can? After they are beveled and shined up a bit they will probably look awesome. Then you can just rebatch the crumbs and the ones you can't salvage. Have to ask you a question....do you always do CPHP? I just find that my soaps come out better with just plain CP. Sometimes the extra heat does weird things to my soap. Just wondering.
  7. OMG e, you should rename it "bleeding Heart". I know you have been having the worst luck lately. And that's just what it is bad luck. Only thing I can think of is Too much heat. Perhaps that in combination with the FO if it was a new one for you. The only time I have any trouble with gooey batches were when I let them get too hot.
  8. They all look fantastic, e! Great going. Yes, tell us how the Santirini soaped, love the scent OOB.
  9. Oh mercy me, Miss Liz. Hope you now remember to add your lye to the water.
