  1. I've been so disappointed with this throw, and I keep on trying because I do not want to waste money on another soy. Good luck!
  2. But in using the paypal cart, I need to pre-determine the range of weight and the costs. That's what I cannot figure out how to calculate.
  3. I got my first order through paypal and the shipping charges that it established, based on the cost of the order, didn't cover the actual UPS charges, although I am not out that much money. Would I be better off to charge per wt than by total of order? And, how do you predetermine the range of weights vs. UPS charges so the shipping is covered? Thanks, Marie
  4. no then I have the deep - I couldn't imagine a candle in one of those shallow tins. I was testing an rrd40 and the first burn it looked okay. The second burn started tunneling too much and the wick shroomed, which I didn't think they did.
  5. Thanks for the tip. You've really put it all together nicely, no wonder you've gotten excellent response. I wish you all the best! Marie
  6. I agree - you should compensated for you being exclusive to them....don't sell yourself short! If you don't mind me asking...what do you put in a wholesale package? Thanks, Marie
  7. I have the regular tins, I don't think they are any deeper than most. Right now I am testing an rd in it. I am new to soy, so maybe I will do a side-by-side test. Thank you! Marie
  8. I think it's gorgeous! I love it when I am at a show and people remark how pretty my candles are and they would buy but they are too pretty to burn...agh! Marie
  9. right now, i am working with a 3" jar, the cdn 12 may not cut it, so i am going to make one with the next size up. i bought the cdn for c3 and they are too big of a flame for me - i've got 3 bags laying around - i was scanning the posts and say that someone used them.
  10. thanks....i bought some and they're too big for my tins, so I thought instead of taking up space I would give it a shot. appreciate the response! marie
  11. has anyone had success with these wicks and palm container? i've got some laying around.. thanks.
  12. i thought about sending a sample to a store that is hosting a fundraiser...but i am stuck on what else to send....if i sent a short note, i have no idea what to say..any advice? thanks.
  13. I miss Pourette - he made some custom molds for me a few years ago. Is there anyone else out there that offers that type of service? Thanks, Marie
  14. Is it a requirement to include the oz on a tin label? If so, I am thinking that means the weight of the wax only, right? Thanks, Marie
  15. Thanks. I ordered from them a couple of years ago and had no problems at all. I didn't think to check the posts before ordering. Does anyone have a phone #?
  16. has anyone had recent problems with this vendor? I ordered a mold about a month ago, sent the check, they cashed the check and no molds. I keep emailing them through their site and they are not responding. thanks. marie
  17. Thanks. I bought some for B&B, but never used them. I am trying not to buy for the holiday season if I do not have to. That's why I thought of using them in soy. Thanks, Marie
  18. Thank you for everyone's input. I appreciate it! Marie
  19. But, do you think if I am pursuing crossing over to a total wholesale based market, would the fact that I may also offer retail on my site have a negative impact on getting those wholesale accounts?
  20. I was thinking about this scenario: if you concentrate on selling retail through your site, does it in anyway affect your chances in securing wholesale accounts? I started to think about it this way, if I sell a candle for $4, for example at retail, and someone is considering my products for their boutique but has to sell them for $5 (example) to keep within their costs - how do you handle that when a wholesaler approaches you? Thanks, Marie
  21. Thanks - I've got some bottles of EO that I bought and haven't used. I might try one tonight and see how it goes. Thanks, Marie
  22. I have some EO's around and just got some C3 to test....is there anyone who's been working on this combo? I've not used EO's in wax yet, is it the same percentage as paraffin? Thanks. Marie
  23. I had some 1260 to try my first hurricane, I've had it for some time. I don't remember the wax being sticky - is it too old? When I tried to make the hurricane, it also came out sticky. Thanks.
  24. I've been using 1343 for mottled candles and I saw 1302B; is there a big difference in the two? Thanks, Marie
