  1. Does anyone have a label template set up for the label by the sheets one? I could just insert my info etc.... TIA Lysa
  2. Not sure where I should post this: My husbands boss wants me to make a soy pillar 4x8 for a centerpiece. I personally only make jar candles but he is insisting on a pillar. I do not have the time or energy to start testing to make this. I would need it Khaki in color and a great Vanilla scent that throws nicely. Any takers I can pay right away. Just pm me or email me at pureblisscandles@gmail.com Lysa

  4. Just got an email from Josh at the jar store that have the honey pot jars on closeout at their new Dallas Warehouse...the prices were pretty low like .89- 1.09 if I remember correctly....
  5. I iniatially thought the same thing....but considering this is a HUGE interior design company and they leave 3-4 candles per home or business they design I do not want to miss an opportunity. I have also picked up lots of business in the past by "being indespensible"(SP?) doing what other candle makers won't (but I wont do anything dangerous...like pouring in thier containers etc..) anyhow if I cannot find a duplicate then she will just have to accept my scents.... but does anyone recommend a great pound cake, and spiced oatmeal for soy.... TIA Have a BLessed Day... Lysa
  6. I have been challenged by a potential wholesale customer to match Swan Creeks Thai Pear, Spiced oatmeal cookie, pound cake and buttercream icing. I curently use spiced pear from Berts and fresh pear but not close enough for the customer....does anyone know where I can get any of these scents that are close enough to Swan Creeks?? I am using GB 444 soy wax. THanks any insight appreciated! Lysa
  7. Does anyone know of a duplicate FO for Gold Canyon's quiet moments? I have a customer begging....I have not found anything yet... TIA Lysa

  9. Good Morning! Just wanted to share my new website designed by studio beck! Now I will warn you I am still in the process of uploading new pics etc, as I know many of my currents are off to small, not center etc....I am working it as we speak. I just really wanted to let all the CT board how nice and patient she is to work with. She had so much insight for me and made the whole process easy! She even worked with ProStores my host and figured it out beautifully(1st time she worked with ProStores) I just love my new labels, and logo! Anyhow take a peek and feedback welcome! Thanks Beckie! www.PureBlissCandles.net
  10. ok talked to an agent and since I am getting general liablity for the store she says I will no longer need a policy just for product liability because the general business policy will also cover my products up to 1,000,000. So if she is correct then my whole poicy will only cost around $550-$600 a year. Sounds too good to be true:yay:
  11. Hey everyone, my liability insurance is about to expire with IBN and I will be needing to either renew or shop around. We are about to open a small little storefront and now I am thinking I will also need general liability. Does anyone know if I will need 2 separtate policies one for product and the other for business or is there coverage for both? and if so wonder where I should start. I am in Texas and so far all the insuranance companies I've called dont touch candles??? Anyone have any insight?
  12. OHH....i actually like that...and it could work.....thanks so much for sharing, now I may have make a trip to IKEA.
  13. For those of you who merchandise in a store or your own storefront what type of shelving/fixtures did you use? We are looking to go into a store and need set up ideas.... Trying to look at all possibilities. Pictures of your shops would be great too.....I think I am trying to be perfect, like everything has to match, same themes, etc I would love to see how everyone uses this and that to bring it all together..... Hoping to see some ideas! TIA Lysa
  14. so they do come with light bulbs? Do they take the same type of bulbs as Levines' Ceramic burners? 15 watts?
  15. how did I miss that?? you said you have one, is this exact one from OBI or Levines? I thought these were new? Thanks:)
  16. pm'd ya! Ohhh hope I can get in on this as I have a bad flare up right now.
  17. ANYBODY ordered or know anything about OBI Plug in Tart Burners? The price is great however I cannot find any details like do they come with bulbs what watt of bulbs etc..... They are also offering free shipping on orders over 250 so I am thinking of ordering thought I ask here about them first. Anybody know?
  18. these look super nice....very high end! what is the scent. Good Job...I am sure these will be a hit!
  19. I so feel your pain! I had the best luck with 444 the first few cases so i ordered a pallet and what do you know i have yet to open a case that worked well... i just figured out for my jars you have the find that perfect temp and cross your fingers. One style of my jars I had to pour low and the other style which was a seamless jar I had to pour high. I guess the thickness of the jar (Pressed vs. seamless) has a factor in how the candle sets up. i love the scent throw with 444 but it is def a chance with this wax.
  20. I think I figured it out!!! I have been pouring the 16oz jars at 160 and they are beautiful. I have to put the wax aside and cool a little before pouring the other sizes but that is way better than 2nd pours and heat gunning etc.... the whole reason I switched to 444 was to save TIME! No time to wait for the slushy stage etc.... With 3 kids under 5 it is a miracle I even have time to run this business....which reminds me I still have so much more to do today do finish this huge order....gotta go!
  21. thanks I'll try poring hotter and see if that works .... at least I have a range to stay within....
  22. yeah this is driving me crazy....i cringe now when someones orders the 16oz size all the other jars come out perfect at 145?? there's got to be a good pour temp.....I have a pallet of jar and pallet of wax so can't really change jars/wax. I just got to figure this out....
  23. anyone??? by trial and error I have tried pouring slushy which makes it even worse and poured about 150 still ugly so anyone have any clue what the magic temp is??? I know i have read about this somewhere now if I could just find it. Lysa
  24. ok I am soo going to post this questions without confusing everyone...Lord knows i am..... Ok I am using GW 444 and for my 5oz and 10oz pressed jars I can pour at 145 and get perfect tops however when I pour my 16 seamless jar at 145 they have ugly rough tops?? I remember reading somewhere that the thickness of jars makes a difference in pour temps but cannot find thread for the life of me...... The 16oz seamless jar is obviously much thinner than pressed jars so I guess my question is do I pour hotter or cooler with thinner glass? Does that make sense? Heat gunning is not helping this issue either. This could so save a lot of time if I could figure this out..... TIA Lysa
