Recently purchased these silicon moulds to make floral candles. Found them really good compared to the price. I stay in india and its difficult for me to get good stuff for candle making in the local stores so I have started ordering these moulds online. The candles are rose scented.

The festival season has started in india. This year we made some nice rangoli decorations to celebrate the festivals. Rangoli is a form of sandpainting decoration that uses finely ground white powder and colours, and is used commonly outside homes in India. Please check attached snaps.

I found these pretty candle holders at a local mall recently and I really loved them. I preferred to fill them with wax directly. They are not scented. I am from India & when I learned candle-making, there was very little material available here but now candles have really hit the market. And they are available at considerable low prices too... so I find lot of foreigners filling their baskets with candles. Joined back to work after a long break and am really missing this forum now. Was a regular visitor for a long time and now I am unable to find time for any sort of craft activities. All work and no craft is making me a dull girl

Appreciate your comments I did the embroidery on a black cloth and it was later framed on a piece of plywood. It was also laminated on the top.

That's very much like me...when my mother was away, I was obsessed with candle making. she just can't bear the mess in the kitchen so I made the best of the time I got. When she returned, I had to resort to my other hobbies . Anyways, your cross stitch work is wonderful and you surely had lot of patience to complete the work !

Thanks, I had not expected this indian craft to be so well received in this forum. We will be celebrating Diwali, our biggest festival this month and it gave me lot of inspiration to do some good designs this year.
