WOW the price on those things is a bit outrageous....Anyone tried the "clear candle wax" from candlewic? It is supposed to make a clear candle.

If you can find them and they are rare. The OLD OLD OLD pyrex glass coffee pots they work great. You will have to look for them at yard sales. The glass wipes right out and there is no leftover scent on them. I lucked out and found a bunch of them a few years back at a local yard sale. Still use the metal pots too but only because i cannot find anymore glass ones....

I tried a new blend this year seems to be working very well. I use 12 oz straight 141 mp paraffin with 4 oz stearic and 1 tsp vybar 130. Will require a repour posibly 2. Votives def need 1 but the larger pillars do require more. The fragrance load is about 6% has a nice creamy smooth side and releases from every mold we tried with ease. HTH

Touching up a few last minute gifts. Lots of Cinnamon and Cool citrus basil. Hope to be done today HOPE is the key word....

Peak has the best fireside that i tried....Wait a min who am i kidding.. peak has alot of great fragrances. My personal favorites are Lilac, Rose Bouqet and cool citrus basil.

The lighter pinkinsh/red is about the color i used this year for our apple pie and cinnamon. Figured it was a nice change after red red red and brown for those 2 colors. Beatiful candles.

Making them is fairly easy. Get the 1 to 1 mix ratio. You can even go for Polyurethane. It is a bit cheaper than silicone and makes very nice long lasting molds. I have a couple block soap molds that have made several thousand blocks and look as good as new. Only issue is that you may want a separate mold for each scent you do as there maybe some scent carryover. You will get this with Silicone or polyurethane. To hold an item down use container blend wax it works like a glue and cleans up easily. Thanks Charlie

We use polyurethane rubbers they are a bit cheaper than silicone but have excellent detail and the 1 to 1 mix ratio is easy to use. It can be messy if you are not careful but is a very simple process. Make sure you invest in mold releasa as the rubbers can bind to certain things. Use a CLEAN candle pouring pot to mix your mold material in. i say clean as stearic acid WILL affect the curing of the rubber. When you pour make sure there is at least half an inch or liquid material around your item you are casting. This allow air bubble to move to the edge of your rubber mold. Use a wooden paintstick to stir. When its time to clean up toss the stick away. Wait till the excess rubber hardens in your candle pot then peel it away from the pot and discard. Do not try to clean up liquid rubber. Trust me it makes a bigger mess....lol. I've made many molds out of polyurethane and would be happy to offer advice just pm me and i will get back as soon as i can.

Old old pyrex coffe pots work great. The smothness of glass allow for easy cleanup. Used the aluminum ots but the gel would always stick to the pot.
