  1. I am glad that my first show coming up this weekend (nov 3) the firebarn won't allow anything but homemade stuff. I went to a local farmer's market in my area and an avon rep was there complaining about this show not letting her in...Well a craft show is a craft show, made for people who make crafts and such...not for the ones buying all of their goods and selling it. So I was rather happy about that. wendi
  2. That's not a bad name....trying to come up with something...This smells really good in body lotion. I am going to make tart/melts up in it tomorrow. Bet they will smell good too. wendi
  3. I like the looks of these, will have to check them out.... I usually by most of my stuff from BitterCreek Because of the fast ship time and prices...but time to venture outside the "box" wendi
  4. I too would be a little worried about if it had a setting or not to control the temp. I like my presto pot and thermometer, that way the temp is safe. wendi
  5. My question is I recently purchase FO that is called "Pink Sugar Type" it smells really good....But I am curious if anybody else uses this and what new names they might give it??? I think it smells really good but didnt know how a label would look listed as "Pink Sugar Type" (spin off of Pink Sugar Scent) Any ideas?? Or thoughts??? wendi
  6. I love the looks of those. I have been trying to find more "homemade" looking versions like these..love the tin look. wendi

  8. That sounds pretty close to me....but found this on a farm site; <<<How to know when a fig is ripe</B> Color - Figs come in all colors from yellow, brown, red to purple, black and others! So you need to know what color the ripe fig is. The most commonly grown figs, Brown Turkey and Celeste are a golden yellow as shown at left when ripe.>>> hope that helps wendi (http://www.pickyourown.org/figs.htm was the website)
  9. I understand it is a starting point. I will have to do some research on my own too...however she did bring up a good point about they "could" drop you. Just gives me something extra to think about. wendi

  19. You are a great thinker that is for sure! I am going to write the ones down that catch my attention the most, then go to bed...that is where I seem to think alot before eventually falling asleep. That is a downfall of thinking up a name wendi
  20. I know I was checking the site out and seen that you didnt get immediate access and had to wait for it. Their stuff looks really nice, can't wait to see what they got once access is granted wendi
  21. I am so glad you made that point. I never thought of that. See this board is soooo helpful in so many ways!!! Wendi
  22. And I thought my presto pot was the neatest thing around for wax melting. I guess the bigger I get the investment may need to be made that sure is a REAL NICE gadget....hmmmm christmas is coming wendi
  23. I have State Farm for my home owners insurance. Maybe I should start there, maybe a multi discount insurance rate for having more than one policy. This is something to look into more with them too. wendi
  24. Country Girl isnt taken, but I cant use County Girl Creations because there is a Country Creations in our area and she said that was too close. So she said omit the word creations and come up with something catchy with the words Country Girl. Soooo now that is my mission. I tried asking her if I could add to the Country Girl Creations with a The or something and she said no they won't allow cause it is too close to the other name.... So I am trying to come up with something with the phrase Country Girl in it but not creations...I have looked in the thesaurus to try and come up with other words...My mom being the comedian that she is says hey name it "Country Girl Pleasures" I was like yeah right ....she was like all the guys would find it interesting and send their wives to buy She is funny sometimes....Here are some other names she said: Country Girl Treasures Country Girl Inspirations (which another poster gave too, ) Country Girl Gifts So I am trying to think of variations of that. I like how it sounds I guess...but I am open to other thoughts too Thanks Again, Wendi
  25. That site seems to be pretty good(IndieBeauty). My question is about it being for those making over $5000 a year from homemade crafts. I am just starting to sell my stuff at craft shows. Which I am sure I wont fall in the over $5000 for this year....But would it be more beneficial to pay their fee of $395 for the year to make sure I have proper insurance or should I try to find a local company that would cover those that make less per year? I don't know how this will all go until I start going to craft shows and find out how well people like my products. Curious on your thoughts on my questions. Thanks very much in advance, wendi
