    This is my first time making candles. I got the votive kit from Peak. The candles came out looking pretty good but when I went to burn one, the middle of the candle burnt first, leaving the outside of the candle standing. Can someone clue me in as to what I did wrong? Thanks!!

    I put mine in the freezer for a few minutes to make it more brittle and then I put in a box at an angle and hit it with a hammer. The wax broke into good size pieces that way. I am going to try the pillowcase on concrete method next time though!!

    Hi all!! I am new to this group and new to candle making. I have come across quite a few sites to buy a starter kit. I am not sure which site to buy from. Could someone recommend a quality site for me? Thanks!!
