  1. my pleasure (I just looked it up on one of the fragrance finder sites I have saved - that's about the only thing I can do to help anyone out on here LOL)
  2. Made me wonder if they possibly wicked them wrong?
  3. Never tried it - but found it listed at WSP http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com
  4. For something like this I would think you might want to think of using a tripod instead of holding your camera in your hands - Some of the blurriness you spoke of might just be movement when you are taking the pic (and I know, I know - I have break down and get a digital so I can start posting some of these blobs of wax with a wick sticking out of em' that I have been making while attempting to make something that resembles a candle)
  5. Again, I am not bashing - just trying to help If you did as they said and added water to your FO you would be then adding water to your wax when you put the FO into the wax itself - since the FO would now contain the water - And as Kaybee says, oil and water just don't mix so I am not sure how well that would work out May I suggest that, if you have not already, try some FOs from some of the suppliers mentioned here on the board in the frangrance section? I came here brand spanking new to this addiction of candle making and had no clue as to what was quality and what wasn't - and I am so greatful to have been helped out by everyone here I believe you will find that you will not have to add 2 oz per lb from these FOs (And that will save you money by only using half as much) to get the same if not better throw
  6. ummmm - There is still a lot I have to learn and I am sure I will be corrected here if I am wrong but - dilute it 3 times with water? I don't think I want to put any water in my wax - Nothing personal and I am not bashing you in any way whatsoever but - my thinking is that possibly your supplier used a marketing ploy on you - and as a result you are using a marketing ploy on your customers albeit unknowingly The triple scented bit is pretty much outdated and is now used as just that, a marketing ploy - as a search on here will show - simply enter "triple scent" in the search box and read what comes up You will find that using quality FOs from any number of suppliers talked about here such as Peaks, Just Scents, and on and on - will be just as HIGHLY concentrated if not moreso as the one your supplier suggests adding water to dilute I have never before heard of a supplier actually suggesting that a customer dilute their FO with anything - much less water!
  7. I remember reading that someone here on the board requires potential Wholesale orders to send them a copy of the buiness license before they sell to them - If you required this and recieved one that looked like it had been faked I think passing it along to their state or city would quickly get your question answered and them in a good bit of trouble
  8. How about this one? http://www.ajellocandles.com/History/history.html "It was in 1922 that Ajello Candles created a memorial candle for the great opera singer and their close friend Enrico Caruso, which became the most famous and largest candle ever made by the firm. The candle towered over 18 feet tall weighing one ton. It measured 5 feet in circumference at the base, tapering to 18 inches at the top, and was expected to last for 1800 years burning for one day each year on the anniversary of Enrico's birth. To date, this candle remains the largest candle ever made."
  9. Haven't tried this one from either of these, but both Lone Star and Mill Creek have it - Lone Star - www.lonestarcandlesupply.com Mill Creek - http://mcsoywax.com/ edited to add - if you find a "true" scent in this as judged by your resident expert, let me know - I would be interested also!
  10. Here is a link to a thread that has the abbreviations used for the most common suppliers you will see used here http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5492
  11. So my question is - Were the jars half empty or half full?
  12. .They have 47 different liquid colors????? If you wanted to try them all buying just 1 ounce of each at $4.95 an ounce would run you $232.65 plus shipping lol
  13. There are a lot of great people there - and a lot going on in the area to do - I always loved it there myself edited to add - be sure and let us know how the Dr Pepper goes - I am always interested in the "Unique" (That's what I insist on calling myself too - it means the same as "weird" really, but it sounds so much cooler don't ya think?)
  14. Don't know anything about any of these but here is what I found for you - Longwyck Candle Works - www.longwyckcandleworks.com Aroma Haven (formerly Rustic Essentials) - http://www.aromahaven.com/ Tradewinds Fragrance Co. - www.tradewindsfragrance.com HTH
  15. My pleasure And I see you are from Bossier - used to be my old stomping grounds - still have friends down there - there was a time I helped many of my excess brain cells commit suicide down in the Sport City
  16. I have not tried it but I searched and found it for you at Taylored Concepts - http://www.tayloredconcepts.com/D-G.htm It says is not soap safe so I don't know if it would be safe in a lip balm I would think you would might want to try it in a flavor oil for that but I am pretty ignorant about these things so what do I know? lol
  17. HI!!! back atcha! Welcome to the board (and don't believe anything anyone says about me)
  18. I don't know if it comes in different "grades" or whatever - but possibly you could check with sporting goods suppliers - Pine Tar is used to increase the grip on wooden bats in baseball
  19. I would call or e-mail the supplier and ask
  20. Just wanted to add my kudos to you soygirl - great idea you came up with there! I hope you sell a million of them! You deserve it!
